So I just thought we should try and get WRs who are different than Cobb and Monty.

Now I'm hearing Cobb and Montgomery were actually good talents and both were on the team in 2018. So I guess I'm just confused what to think anymore about our WRs up to this point and what we should be looking for.
To be fair, Monty had bad hands and bad route tracking and sub-par speed and was moved from being a WR because he wasn't good at it. Counting him as a WR is pretty weak. Cobb was a very good WR when healthy and did a number of things for us when utilized more frequently. He just started braking down eventually. Cobb was 191 pounds. Monty was like 215-225 in various forms. They're very different body types, also.

Having a guy LIKE Monty, with fewer of his weaknesses is obviously useful. We drafted him to be a dynamic playmaker and many teams have guys like that and use them appropriately. Unfortunately we drafted a bad one and switched his position. That's no reason to turn away from the model, overall. It'd be like if we stopped drafting large DTs because Justin Harrell turned out to be an injury-prone disappointment.

The fact that we DID draft both Cobb and Monty with the thought that a versatile slot receiver who can move around the formation and be a playmaker with the ball in his hands shows that it is DESIRABLE. The fact that one of those fell on their faces and the other had honestly a quite solid career shouldn't steer you away from anyone; if anything you should be looking to replace what they brought or were supposed to bring to the table... which I am.

Mims at 30?

A Safety in rd 2?

gpg, you are a brave soul. Having Mims at 30 seems like it would be a coup of grand scale. That would almost be like getting Aaron Rodgers at 24 (but not quite). But maybe teams who realize the plethora of very solid WRs will be lazy and not notice Mims slipping down the draft until we snatch him. We can hope!

As for the Safety in 2nd, I'd hope that he would be stout enough to actually play on some of the run downs too.

Now go and get Snacks!
I'm picking for the Packers in a mock draft on a Rams board, and I got Mims for the Packers at 30. There will be a good WR available at 30.
I'd be thrilled if there is. But in my heart, I want interior defense. While I've yearned for an offensive skill player since AJ Hawk was drafted, I know that MLF realizes that he must make our interior defense better.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

I wouldn't discount Kirksley, if healthy he should be a up grade of Martinez, we also have several other players, while not a ideal fit did show up side they could improve on this year, and it's doubtful any of the top 3 ilb's would be available anyway, so we should be able to get a run plugger later.
