Who is the longsnapper? Tough for any kicker to make any kick when the placeholder has to catch the ball over his head and get it down in time.

I never looked at or I haven't seen any stats on poor snaps. I assume they keep them as they have stats for everything. I don't recall off the top of my head if there were an unusual amount of poor long snaps but, your right.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑12 Jun 2024 02:58Who is the longsnapper? I do know that Carlsons overall kicking stats/performance were subpar in almost every statistical category I care about. It would be nice to be closer to the top than bottom going forward. I have stuck up for Carlson some but........
We signed Matt Orzech last year at long snapper who played pretty well for the Rams. I actually ran into some very good friends of Orzech's in Atlanta. Wonderful people. But I did make the comment of one snap getting away from Orzech in Week 1 from Chicago and they recognized it too.
Issue is Orzech never got much better. He definitely struggled last year and I fully expect that Wisconsin kid to beat Orzech in camp this year.

not the long snapper defense again Carlson missed so many there isn't a excuse imaginal to defend all those shanks and fadesTheSkeptic wrote: ↑12 Jun 2024 02:58Who is the longsnapper? Orzech was one of the leagues worst LS's last season. Its a perfectly good reason to think some portions of Carlson's kicks were off due to Orzech. PFF ranked Orzech 31st.

All the locker room interviews the other day were fantastic too, everyone sounds like they're having the time of their life.

Not surprising when trying a rookie out at 3 different spots on the offensive line.

Not a fan of the Morgan pick myself but the pads aren’t even on yet.

When Gale Gillingham showed up it was not a secret that he would get Fuzzy's job (Left Guard) when the time had come. Then Devine Interception occurred ruining Gilly's chance to be a Pro Football Hall of Famer when the idiot moved him to the defensive line. There was no "3 different spots" scenario in that instance.
One the other hand Jerry Kramer's surgery jumbled the offensive line significantly in 1964. According to Pro Football Reference, Norm Masters was Left Tackle, Bob Skoronski moved to Center, and Dan Grimm filled in at Kramer's Right Guard position. Thurston and Gregg stayed at Left Guard and Right Tackle, respectively.
