Obscure Trivia

What former Rams, Redskins and Cowboys linebacker totally sucked as a front office "executive". He was a native of WI, and went to Marquette (of all places).

The first Marquette football team was fielded in 1892. Football was discontinued at Marquette in 1960. Curly started the Pack in 1919.

I chose not to Google, so I'm probably wrong, but wasn't it #19? I know it was something odd, haha.

Howard was trying to make the 1996 squad, but was languishing and facing getting cut. Ron Wolf talked about it in an interview years later
Here's Howard sporting jersey number 22- they gave him that number instead of a WR number because they didn't think he was gonna make it. But then this happened in the 2nd preseason game and the rest is history.

Here's the video- the punt return for a TD starts at the 2:13 mark

Only one team has gone longer than the Packers without finishing last in their Division.

When was the last time the Packers finished last?
What team has a longer streak and what year did they finish last?

I'll SWAG it ............... Seattle. Have no idea the years. There was a period called the Ken Behring Years when the Seahawks were at or near rock bottom, These were the AFC days when the Kingdome attendance dropped below 40,000.

Steelers is a good (and probably a better) guess as well.

As a rookie in 1952, Billy Howton caught 13 TD passes (in a 12 game season). That record stood until 1998.

Looking for a little help on this one.
Back in the early 80's GB had a super tall TE...and they used him on STs to block FGs because of his superb reach
Anybody remember such a player ? I think they even adjusted the rules to limit his effectiveness blocking kicks
