Eagles traded for WR Jahan Dotson from the Redskins. Interesting move inside the division and considering that Eagles are already very strong at WR with Brown and Smith. My opinion is Dotson is pretty good especially in the slot if you can get him into space. Reception Perception is very high on him and pretty much blames the QB situation and the shambles of an OL the Redskins had. I tend to agree that those two things held him back.
That week one matchup just got a bit more difficult.

Commanders traded a conditional 7th rounder to Browns for K Cade York. Wish the pack would’ve done that. He has looked good this year.

Now it all makes sense. We picked Meyers over Humphrey to save money for the JLove extension

Man had we just done the logical thing and taken the more athletic and better prospect in Creed that OL would have been so dominant the last few years.

Holy &%$@! That is $18 million a year when the next highest center contract is $13.5 million per year. Talk about setting the market.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑22 Aug 2024 19:37

Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."

My diehard Eagles fan has no confidence in the Eagles defense.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑22 Aug 2024 12:27Eagles traded for WR Jahan Dotson from the Redskins. Eagles are favored by about 2. Hmmmmm?
Not related to anything in particular, but this X post gave me a chuckle. It's so true.
Incidentally, that intro music remains one of my all-time favorites for NFL programming.

Speaking of now-illegal hits...I always enjoyed this one of Lawrence Taylor and they synced up the music really well
Lynn Dickey makes a couple of appearances, including one where he gets a "complete sinus cleanse" from Taylor. Majik man too

Glad he waited until after my fantasy draft this weekend where I somehow stole him with the 7th pick.

That puts him out for the Packers week 4 matchup.
Packers catch a break with this injury.
Patriots released QB Bailey Zappe...again.
TBH, I'd have rather the Packers waited out today's roster cuts before making the deal for Willis. I view somebody like Zappe much more prepared to step into a legitimate backup role than any of the current QBs (outside of Love, obviously) on the roster.

Chief cut former R1 draft pick Kadarius Toney. Guess they tried and failed to find a trade partner. Probably the biggest "name" I've seen cut so far.

Browns kept 4 QBs and only 2 RBs as they try to trade either Jameis or Tyler Huntley
D'Onta Foreman was released but people think he'll be back once the QB trade/release scenario plays itself out.
DTR, 2nd-year QB3 seems to have shown enough to stay
Weird maneuvering.
