This game is about the offense. Cards d is not good, and really bad on 3rd down. This is probably a race to 35 points.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
I was mostly kidding. He could be I suppose. I think the emergence of Tucker Kraft makes it seem plausible.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑11 Oct 2024 15:31Nope. He's still a project in work. But if you think otherwise, tell us how/why.MY_TAKE wrote: ↑11 Oct 2024 05:30Musgrave is a bust!!Scott4Pack wrote: ↑10 Oct 2024 11:39Arizona has enough talent to put points on the board. They have more talent than the depleted Rams we faced last week. Maybe not as good of a passer, but otherwise better.
This might actually be a game that Quay turns in a strong performance. He is made for games like this. Let's see what he does in containing their running QB.
I do wonder if Hafley has tuned his blitz package enough to count on it several times a game now. Could come in real handy again.
Will Watson play? Assuming that Doubs plays. Maybe Musgrave puts in some snaps. Hoping our offense keeps dynamic and unpredictable and that Love doesn't try any more 1% passes deep downfield. We are at home. We need to protect the ball, protect the QB, and create some pressure ourselves on their QB.
Until recently, many "experts" talked about how many TEs don't "get it" until their third year.

Home game so need to win
AZ is just a team. Some threats on offense but should be able to contain them
Exploit the d. They are not good. Good time to get the offense clicking.
37-24. Pack

weird, yes, but he wasn't limping when he played that I remember either, but he was slow to maneuver, a skill required to block as a TE.
I suspect thats the issue, he may be able to walk minus a limp, even jog, but he can't do the football stuff he has to be able to do, which requires lateral ability, like resetting to block, or pick up a blitzer.
later we'll want to use more 22 set, so we'll need the skills Musgrave has, always liked him, just because Kraft passed him up as the #1 doesn't change my opinion of Musgrave.
Ummm...the player in question from the quote you responded to is Watson, not Musgrave.Yoop wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024 09:34weird, yes, but he wasn't limping when he played that I remember either, but he was slow to maneuver, a skill required to block as a TE.

I think that could happen if we simply throw it better and catch it better. Drops and off target throws to open guys won't get it done. Sounds simpleBF004 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2024 14:48Not a ton to say, we are the better team, with higher expectations, playing at home. Our franchise QB should be recovering better from his knee, getting some WR's back, Ja should be back, defense starting to build some confidence.
No reason we shouldn't come out and win convincingly.
I'll be there, first game I'm bringing my kids to (wasn't cheap).
whoops, wrong catcherAPB wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024 10:11Ummm...the player in question from the quote you responded to is Watson, not Musgrave.Yoop wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024 09:34weird, yes, but he wasn't limping when he played that I remember either, but he was slow to maneuver, a skill required to block as a TE.

Love needs to start warming up and getting his &%$@ together.
This is game 6. No time to continue playing like a rookie at this point in the season. The offense should look way more competent than it has and it’s not a LaFleur problem. The first week I excused a poor performance on rust and the knee. The 2nd week they pulled it out but he was still not very good. There aren’t any time for excuses now. The offense needs to start getting some momentum.

While he hasn’t always been particularly sharp, this isn’t just on Love. The offensive line has been very inconsistent and has committed an unacceptable number of penalties. There have been some very poorly timed drops by receivers as well. The offense overall has not been in sync.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024 15:35Love needs to start warming up and getting his &%$@ together.

Game Day!
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

Watson and Alexander are both active.
good news, we need them, just heard we have the 3rd rated rushing attack, against the cards 28th rated defense against the run, Jacobs gonnnnna stomp plus there secondary is limping, Love Gonnna romp
I love a good rompen and stompen game, as long as were the team doing it.
I hope le coach has a lot of play action dialed up then!Yoop wrote: ↑13 Oct 2024 11:09good news, we need them, just heard we have the 3rd rated rushing attack, against the cards 28th rated defense against the run, Jacobs gonnnnna stomp plus there secondary is limping, Love Gonnna romp

Damn, play action didn't fool the OLB.

Our secondary better hound their receivers because the refs are calling nothing today.
