The body doesn't absorb just water very well when doing high exertion activities. Just sits in the stomach snd then comes up. Need electrolytes, some aminos, and simple sugars.

Here's a tweet from Ben Fennel after our game vs the Titans - -
Pretty impressive play from our "Day 3 OTs" so far this season

Packers currently rank # 2 in the league in sacked percentage for the offense

Seems an appropriate thread to place this in.
Some good stuff happening with our run game. This o-line, along with the TEs, is creating havoc with defenses trying to diagnose exactly where the play is going. Good stuff.

That 2 pointer walks in if Walker even gets a tie...

Speaking of Walker...

I started saying it last year. I think that Walker is one of the most under-rated players around.
And since our OLine is finally getting past so many penalties, maybe they can now lay a claim to being one of the top units. Even Rhyan is working out fine. Tell me many didn't have doubts about him going into the season.

Rhyan has been solid. I get if they were going to make him a RG it was going to take a while. He was switching to interior and switching sides. The patience has paid off.

Here's one from the fine folks at ACME talking about Josh Jacobs and his ascent into Packers history after only 2/3 of a season
https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2024 ... rs-history
"On an all-time scale, Jacobs is already rocketing up the Packers’ career rushing leaderboard. Jacobs already ranks 47th in Packers history and will be comfortably into the top 40 by the end of the year. If he can come close to duplicating this kind of effort next year, Jacobs will almost certainly be in the top 20 in the Packers all-time rushing annals."
.
And Josh can thank the 2024 OL for paving his way. The confluence of MLF's scheme, this OL and all- star Jacobs has paid off in spades. WOW
Hat tip to the guy sittin' on his hands for this one.
.
( I just realized that Jacobs, Malik Willis and Brandon McManus were all considered "distressed inventory" that Gute bought on sale - and they've all worked out spectacularly)

Those small but important details are often overlooked when making the snap performance judgments on the GM, especially in the heat of the moment following a loss.
Side note: I don't know if I agree that Jacobs falls completely into that same "distressed inventory" category, but the point remains solid.
If we rewind the tape back to spring, there were any number of analysts and media folks ready to bury Jacobs. His production dropped from 1600 yds and 12 TDs to 800 yds and only 6 TDs. The consensus at the time was the Raiders rode him hard and put him away wet. Bill Barnwell and Seth Walder of ESPN both wrote pieces suggesting GB was going to regret the signing and even suggesting Jacobs would be cut ( ! ) because his contributions wouldn't match his paycheck. This article below references those - and there were others for sure.
If you look at the structure of the deal, its essentially a series of 1 yr deals with the only guaranteed cash being the signing bonus- this too was reflective of how he was undervalued around the league. So I'm comfortable calling him distressed inventory
Given his current production and contributions, its kind of hard to imagine such a dour outlook for Jacobs, but at the time it wasn't uncommon

There is a subset of football analyst that appears to enjoy predicting — way earlier than is necessary or useful — that a player is going to either get cut or lose his job.
wow, all this negative talk about Huddle members
actually think sometimes these sports writers draw straws to see who will be the negative nancy concerning player trades, tons of reasons why a players production decreases one year to the next, whats obvious is these two have egg all over them concerning Jacobs.
Hopefully, we don't need him to tote it 26 times again tonight, but just knowing he could if we should need it is more assuring than the player he replaced who I doubt was ever tested that hard.

Jacobs most definitely isnt distressed inventory. He still young, commanded a good contract for a position that was undervalued, and he even got larger offers from other teams.APB wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024 06:33Those small but important details are often overlooked when making the snap performance judgments on the GM, especially in the heat of the moment following a loss.

Gutenbumst has gotten a lot better. He has really strung together 3 great drafts after 2 really downright bad drafts that did nothing for our championship window. He still makes some wild blunders, like taking Jordan Morgan in the 1st this year instead of looking at one of the stud CBs that fell to us. Most Brian Gutenbumst thing Ive ever seen and then we make Morgan a backup guard...

I guess I don't agree on "the consensus" being anywhere near that. Sure, there were some talking heads who specialize in exaggerating their points and like to blow a player up who doesn't meet their expectation, but I believe the majority of legitimate football folks knew the Raider org had gone into the toilet and EVERYBODY'S production suffered, Jacobs included.BSA wrote: ↑05 Dec 2024 12:02If we rewind the tape back to spring, there were any number of analysts and media folks ready to bury Jacobs. Yeah, I'll give you some of the talking heads who questioned the deal are legitimate, knowledgeable sports journalists...but they were wrong.
Now, that said, I don't disagree that Jacobs came with question marks. No doubt. I just don't classify him as having come in under the same "distressed inventory" countenance as those other players listed. Just my opinion.
Oh my, @lupedafiasco...eesh.
I will never forget that glorious 10 minutes where I thought the Packers were going to have Josh Jacobs and Aaron Jones in the same backfield this year.
Indeed, he missed the last 4 games of 2023 season with a serious quad injury.
Per recent reports, the recruiting efforts from Nixon & Bisaccia played a big role in him choosing GB - and I suspect he talked to Davante as well.
Happy to have him and I hope he has a very productive evening ahead.
