Week 13 games

Now that da Bears, who still suck, are out of the race, I can hope that they channel all the weird karma from their close freaky losses, and pull off a surprise vs the Lions.

Unfortunately it looks like the Bears still suck.

Lions OL too good. Sean Clifford would be able to dissect a D with that much time.

One of the big traps in the league is that the sucky teams tend to address shiny positions like QB and WR before OL (shiny things sell tickets, big uglies don't). And then that shiny QB has zero time to throw to the shiny WRs.

Feel like the Packers will have just this freakishly dominant first 20 minutes and just be up only 13-0 and then let the other team catch up on 1 play.

Need like a fluke pick 6 or blocked FG here for Chicago.

A good forced fumble will do.

Still, about as lopsided as games go. Chicago D on field for 22:54 of 1st half and must be feeling like turkeys in an oven...

Bears have 99 yards and 3.5 minutes to win or tie.

Bears pull this off, packers should control their own destiny over Detroit (they lost a common game to Rams, they don’t play eagles).

Not sure how Minny could muck it all up.

But still.

First you would have to beat the Vikings.

Do you know what control you own destiny means?

There needs to be a Zadarius Smith rule where if you come out for an injury on the last drive of a game, you can only come back in once. No more 3 times per game

Bears doing Bear things. That was an all time blunder of an ending.

I'm afraid da Bears suck so much, they may collapse into a black hole. :rotf:

Game on the line, at opponent 25 with 0:46 left, needing 3 points to tie.

And what do da Bears do?

1st down: Simply miss a wide open short throw that woulda gone for a big gain, maybe TD
2nd down: Waste a timeout (which will soon prove costly), then OL rips a DT's helmet off and gets a penalty
2nd down part deux: RT chooses to block no one, letting ZaDarius get a free sack, which takes 'em to difficult FG range
3th down: After sack, team has zero time awareness and is super slow getting to line. With clock ticking so far down that there woulda been no time for a 2nd play, Flus forgets to use his remaining time out. Caleb throws long in desperation and time expires while ball is in air. WR has no idea what's going on and quits on the route -> incomplete, game over.

Can't make this &%$@ up... :rotf:

Another aspect that will go overlooked is the failed 2 pt earlier in the 4th quarter. Had they picked the extra point, they would have been down only 2. If they were down 2 at the 25 yard line, do they even think about passing? Probably not.

Here's the thing. If they figure it out they will be a dangerous team.

Ya, if a bad team figures out how to be good, they will be a good team!
