looks like he's missed a game or two this year and his sack count is lower, possibly becoming distraught playing for the Cowboys, would seem a great addition, but probably costly.
, oh well it's only money :)

I know the goal is a Lombardi every year, however, I've felt most of this season, especially with Love's injury earlier, that next season this group of players will have the needed experience to make that run to the dance floor :idn:

Tucker Kraft is the best 3rd round selection of my life. Perhaps the easiest Packer to love.
I won't bother to look up past 3rd round picks, I like Kraft too, but attempting to hurdle a player for another yard is putting the player at risk of injury, or a fumble as was the case with Watson, would rather our players eliminated that stuff :idn:
He wasn’t trying to hurdle for an extra yard, he was just trying to saves his knees from that $%&# Kirby Joseph.

I'm not crying foul, yet, but as the Lions continue to build up a reputation as a dirty defense, it's hard to look past "biting kneecaps" and Dan Campbell's history. He was a player on the 2009 New Orleans Saints bountygate team and spent 5 years as an assistant under Sean Payton who willingly presided over that culture. Ditto Aaron Glenn who also worked under Payton. Hmmm?

our players are guilty of it some too, that's a classic hit for Valentine, chicken &%$@ shoulder blow to the knees, this stuff needs to end, tackle like a man or go home, hate to call out our own players, but the NFL needs to eliminate this stuff. jmo.

I"ve been saying it since the days of ESPN message boards, forget every single other tackling rule in the book, get rid of them all. You need 1. Tackles are heads up, arms out. Put your head down or pull your arms in, flag. You can't curl up and make a tackle. It would make the game magnitudes safer. It will be a flag fest for a while, but it would clean it all up in a hurry.

Nobody terrible, a couple individual guys pretty damn good.

Collectively, a very strong group.

If the NFL actually did this then you have to target Tucker Kraft 12 times a game. Its kind of a no brainer. :)

I thought Josh Meyer was turning around but he has struggled the past couple games and his pass efficiency is poor.

Will be curious to see what the Packers do with him in the off-season. I could see them signing him to a small 1 or 2 year prove it deal whle also drafting his replacement. I could also see them move on entirely.

From where did you derive that conclusion? His 26th of 29th ranking? His actual grade is still pretty solid, just doesn’t stack well against his center peers. I’d bet in a rankings list, a bunch of the centers would be bunched really close and the difference in play is actually pretty minuscule.

But when Myers was hurt, Jenkins started at center.

well Jenkins is probably our most versatile OL man, could even move to tackle in a pinch, Meyers struggles to anchor, and gets pushed around some, but is still a better than average center, I think the future OL will have a bigger more stout center, especially since we are becoming a run-first offense, and with more emphasis on going for it on 3rd and 4th and short situations, and we also have Morgan, he'll most likely start some where on it next season, could be one or the other of Rhyan or Morgan could take the center position, and both pack more punch than Meyers IMHO, interesting situation to be in, or maybe Monk is a bon a fide starter.
A great OL makes everything on offense better

I think that was more a matter of getting the best five O-linemen on the field, i.e. Morgan, than a testament against Monk.

In 2019 as a freshman Monk saw action in 12 games and played a total of 759 snaps for the Blue Devils. He allowed 10 QB hurries, 3 QB hits, and 7 sacks while playing at right tackle.

As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 11 games and a total of 817 snaps. He conceded 6 QB hurries, 5 QB hits, and 2 sacks while playing at right guard.

In 2021 as a junior Monk saw action in 12 games and totaled 753 snaps. He gave up 7 QB hurries, no QB hits, and 2 sacks while playing at right guard.

In 2022 as a senior Monk saw action in 10 games and played a total of 580 snaps for the Blue Devils. He allowed an unipressive 15 QB hurries, 3 QB hits, and no sacks while playing the majority of his snaps at right guard, and the rest at center.

In 2023 as a fifth year senior Monk saw action in 13 games and played a total of 704 snaps for the Blue Devils. He allowed 10 QB hurries, 3 QB hits, and one sack while playing the majority of his snaps at right guard, and the rest at center.
He's had two years playing some snaps at C. They don't mention how many. Obviously they thought Jenkins was the safer, better option than the R. But with a year in the program he might be the answer next year. Though I wouldn't be surprised by Gut drafting another T who can snap the ball.

Monk is just one of those guys that, no matter what he did, was not going to be ready to contribute this year. I think he will certainly be in the mix next year. I also thought Myers was rounding into a solid Center, but then injuries struck him pretty hard. I think he is still playing through some stuff, so hard to judge. I haven't followed scores or anything along those lines, but I have quietly noticed his play slipping again. Hopefully he can get healthy and reverse that back to where he was. Given our cap situation and lack of players coming up, I was beginning to think Myers was a no-brainer re-sign.
