So I know it really doesn't matter but basically, there are 4 teams we could possibly play under the most likely scenarios, in which we're a 5 or 6 seed playing divisions winners from the West or South: Rams, Seahawks, Falcons, Bucs
If I had to choose who we faced in round one, I'd want the Seahawks. Next choice the Falcons. Then the Bucs. Then the Rams.
None scare me. The Rams just seem to have a knack for winning different styles of game if you look at the Bills win versus the 49ers win. The Falcons would have been my top choice, but the unknown of a rookie QB with minimal tape to prepare against and the showing by Seattle 2 of the past 3 weeks (our game and the Bears game) says they're probably the worst of the bunch. The Bucs are just the team that can likely score the most against us, so an off day by the offense would be more challenging than against the others.
Those are my thoughts. Anyone else have any preferences?
SoFi stadium is the most friendly place to play but I just feel at SOME point McVay is going to beat MLF. MLF's dominance in this rivalry is insane (that's why we don't look at it as a rivalry)
Seattle and Atlanta can get the loudest. Definitely won't see the sea of Packers fans like we would in a regular season game as playoff games tend to favor home crowds more (it's just that LA has SO MANY Packers fans).
In terms of actual matchup, I think Tampa and LA Rams pose the greatest threat as they have a higher threat of putting up more points compared to ATL and Seattle.
In terms of most likely...I think it's either going to be Tampa or LA Rams. If Atlanta finds a way to beat Washington....yeah I might start getting a little nervous about them.
Yeah, unless the Bucs drop one to a terrible team (Panthers, Saints) the only way the Falcons win the division is if they beat the Commanders, but if they beat the Commanders after seeing what they did against the Eagles and knowing Jayden Daniels is looking fully healthy again, then the Falcons might be a little scarier?
Personally, I'd love to see the Panthers pull off the Bucset (Bucs upset) and the Falcons lose so that the division comes down to the final week. Then the uninspiring Falcons have a great shot at being the 4 seed and our journey toward a 5-seed has great merit. Beat the Vikings, beat the Bears; hope the Lions beat the Vikings. Hope the Bucs drop a should-be easy divisional game, and then head to Atlanta to face a rookie QB in his 4th or 5th NFL start for the playoffs.
If the 6 seeded Vikings beat the 3rd seeded Rams or Seahawks, then the Packers go on to the Eagles while the Vikings play the Lions again. Or if the Vikes lose, the Packers go to Detroit for round 2 trying to finally vanquish the beasts who slayed them twice.

I think they're playing as well as anyone in the league right now, and home field advantage isn't what it used to be. I think we're capable of going all the way and there's no team that worries me. Doesn't mean we will but I'm pretty confident in this team.

I really want to beat Minnesota. And I really want the Lions to also beat Minnesota. I would much rather be the 5 compared to the 6 simply because I would much rather have the game in Lambeau compared to US Bank if we play in the Title game.

I want to beat Minnesota because there are strong odds that to win a Super Bowl we have to play Detroit and Philly and if we go through a season where we have a win against every team we faced, that would be a cool story.
How about ignoring the Bears, and start analyzing the Packs chances in Effen Philly?
I really don't like those chances at all. If we lose, weird how we were better this season than last year but have a worse result.
Yeah the top 7 are just crazy good in the NFC this year. Definitely the year of have's and have not's.
But I don't need this year to be Divisional or better to be compared to last year. I'm kind of SB or bust so if we lose the WC weekend you pack your things and get ready for 2025. I'm fine playig Philly to start. I also think we can beat em.

Penix rifled a pass to Darnell Mooney for 25 yards on first down to get the Falcons all the way to their own 44 with 33 seconds left. NBC’s Mike Tirico correctly pointed out that Mooney didn’t get out of bounds, so Morris needed to call a timeout. The only problem? Morris didn’t do it!
Atlanta let 16 seconds tick off the clock, and the Falcons’ next snap came with 17 seconds left. The drive ended with Falcons kicker Riley Patterson missing from 56 yards out as time expired. Did you see the kick? It was on the right line, but landed short of the goal posts. Let me be clear: THERE IS NO REASON THAT THE FALCONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING A KICK FROM THAT DISTANCE! That attempt came on first down! Had Morris used the timeouts correctly, Penix would have likely had at least two more pass attempts to get them closer. Had that been a 48- or a 51-yard kick, the Falcons very well might have won that game in regulation, which would have put them in the driver’s seat in the NFC South. Instead, the Commanders won in overtime, and now Atlanta needs a win and a Tampa Bay loss in Week 18 to get into the postseason"

I’ll say this about LaFleur teams. They play tight in big games. If they get out to an early and dominant lead they’re usually fine but if they don’t they make all the mistakes in the world that just shouldn’t happen.
