Just my opinion.

I think you misunderstand what the term knee jerk means.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑04 Jan 2025 13:29Another ridiculous knee jerk reaction to a _____________.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑04 Jan 2025 13:22Your take was neither serious nor factual.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑04 Jan 2025 13:19
What a ridiculous knee jerk reaction to a serious factual matter.
Getting upset about our coaching staff hiring outside coaches to help out before finding out that pretty much every NFL team does this would be a knee jerk reaction. It is not a knee jerk reaction to point out that getting mad about this is an awful take.

Since week 11. He was not that good before. But maybe he is fully healed now and was not before, or maybe the foot is back to normal strength and was not before.
At any rate, he has earned a prove it year contract from the Packers. Or maybe more, while he is still under the radar
It feels like a mirage. Teams have not really been testing him much. He has also still made zero plays on the ball, and his change of direction doesn't look very good to me.
All that said, it is encouraging that he can still play after those injuries, and is not stinking up the field. Maybe he can take the next step and actually force incompletions.

I’m in the maybe offer 1 year, 5-8 million.
Other than that, I’m fine if he goes, maybe add a different vet in that range or just go the Packer route and flood the position with draft picks.
Wonder how Jaire’s situation might impact a Stokes decision.

Feels like the Nick Perry situation.
#1 - Jaire should have nothing to do with what you do with Stokes
#2 - I am not giving the Stokes the "I guess you proved yourself" contract. I doubt the market will, either.

He’s been decent, I’ve seen nothing to make me think he’s turned some corner and you can find stretches like that for so many DBs across the league year after year and nOne of them are that good.
He’s been better than garbage, but I haven’t seen stand out either. Lots of guys play at that level and I’m not opening up the purse strings very wide at all.

Until he starts actually getting credit for passes defended or getting some turnovers, I’d say the stats in his favor are more a matter of system efficiency rather than player excellence.

Stomping the Saints feels like a decade ago.

At this point, I'm persuaded more than ever that this MLF Packer squad more often plays only to the level of the competition. Yeah, there are exceptions. But a general guide... And as a very young team, I don't know why we should ever expect anything different.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

Sure seems pretty good for a squad that took a step back this year…
our 11-6 record pales compared to 14-3 Vikings and 15-2 Lions, especially so since they ran the table on us this year, and now we got delivered by the hapless Bears, 5 of our losses happened right here in the north, sure on paper we rank out well, but that wont mean squat against Philly next week, coach, players, have to do much better, this Bears loss was beyond stinky.
Or maybe it's that people don't understand what a 5th to 7th ranked team looks like.Yoop wrote: ↑06 Jan 2025 06:26our 11-6 record pales compared to 14-3 Vikings and 15-2 Lions, especially so since they ran the table on us this year, and now we got delivered by the hapless Bears, 5 of our losses happened right here in the north, sure on paper we rank out well, but that wont mean squat against Philly next week, coach, players, have to do much better, this Bears loss was beyond stinky.
It means there are 4 to 6 teams ranked better than us.
1. Lions
2. Eagles
3. Vikings
4. Bills
5. Chiefs
6. Ravens
Looks like rankings and reality line up really well actually.
