Both of the Packers team jets are in the air; one is due to arrive at gate in Philly at 4:20 pm
Clearly that suggests the Packers are gonna smoke 'em on Sunday

I wanted another shot at Philly ever since week 1. I am somewhat optimistic although I think it's reasonable for them to be favored. I think our ceiling is higher than theirs, but we have yet to hit our ceiling against a good opponent. That being said, assuming we didn't earn the bye, this is probably the most favorable playoff bracket for us, because the 2 teams I think that match up well against us are Minnesota and Tampa Bay, and I would actually prefer to play Philly, Detroit, or the Rams. I think most teams can't beat the ViQueens, but I think the Rams are one of the few who can. So hopefully they can knock them out for us.
Reasons we win:
1) We're more talented than them. We are younger and hungrier
2) Lafleur is the best HC and his offensive system is unstoppable
3) Hurts isn't that good, and we can trick him into turning it over
Reasons we lose:
1) Our defense still isn't good, sorry. The Hafley scheme is only good against bad QBs.
2) Our pass rush is nonexistent
3) Love is prone to having bad games here and there (the SF loss last year was 100% due to Love sucking at the worst time)
4) Our offense is much worse without Christian Watson. Look it up.
Overall I think our chances are 40% but I'll take that, because it really isn't about luck- it's in our hands and when we play to our ability, I don't think there is another team out there with a higher ceiling. We've been plagued all year by sloppiness and referee screwjobs. Had we had McManus from the start, we would have had what like 2-3 losses only? We've been competitive in every game. So I think there is reason for optimism.

I think we all feel last weeks Bears game was an outlier. So we should be quite a bit better against the Eagles. I agree 100% that MLF will need to scheme/coach his ass off. He has proven he can at times. Same goes for Jeff Hafley.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑10 Jan 2025 12:35They will need to elevate their level of play and the coaches will need to scheme their asses off.
As you said, we might have the advantage at TE. Maybe give a few extra looks and plays involving them. Effectively run the ball like we have.
Can't wait. Packer playoff football is the best!!!

ACME Packing with their take on the Eagles passing game
https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2025 ... th-in-2024
"...I wrote about all the ways Hafley deployed these coverages throughout the season. This season, the Packers defense was 5th overall in the use of simulated pressures. This might be the key to success versus Jalen Hurts if they can limit the impact of Barkley. Hurts does not see the field well and does not quickly process coverages when he has to.
Unfortunately in week one, they did not run this coverage scheme but in 16 other games this season, they generated multiple turnovers and sacks using this pressure front and it may come in handy versus the Eagles the second time around."

Idk who it will be but one of the WRs needs to be the ex factor in this game that just shows he can win and get open. I really think Wicks is gonna be the one and get the targets. Will he catch them is the real question.

I have a feeling it's either Reed or Heath. I actually am very very excited about Heath as I think he will get more opportunity. Dude shows up every time he gets a chance.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025 18:18Idk who it will be but one of the WRs needs to be the ex factor in this game that just shows he can win and get open. But IMO, none of the WR's have the ability to dominate a game the way Watson did. Doubs is the best of the bunch but he is not and never will be a WR#1. Not one of them have the ability to take over a game and all can be taken out of the game by a top CB.
So what to do? #1 is to establish a running game and stick with it. #2 is to find a true mismatch receiver, someone who will always be open enough. Luckily the Packers have 3 such players. Their names are Kraft, Musgrave and Jacobs.
we are the only 7th seeded team to win a play off game, also youngest to do so as well, we can break that record with a win over Philly, and that record could really stand the test of time, seems like destiny that we do so.

Heath is just a guy. Good hands and physicality but he lacks any kind of athleticism unfortunately. If you lined him up against these Eagles DBs he would be easily locked up.
I really hope we defer in this one if we get the chance. Anytime you decide to receive first you are forfeiting the opportunity to clock the end of both halves which is stupid.
Against a team like the Eagles you have to take the points when you can get them and rely on your defense to get stops. Getting 0 points on drives against them is a death sentence. If I see one fumble today I’m going to lose my &%$@.
Lastly, the defense needs to understand that a series against the Eagles is not 1st and 10, it’s 1st and 9. You can’t allow them to be in 3rd/4th and 1. Every players needs to rally and get ball carriers going backwards.

WAtson should be our best, we picked him to be that, problem is he's not been healthy enough to rely on, and your under estimating the others, schemes and the QB can make a receiver, or break them, I admit we've seen plenty of mistakes from these kids, but we've had 2nd year slumps from receivers in the past that went on to be all pro, your closing the curtain on these kids to quick.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 09:55I agree on Heath.go pak go wrote: ↑11 Jan 2025 21:18I have a feeling it's either Reed or Heath. we have to be able to do more than run, the Eagle defense is to good for just that to work.
I suggest doing some blueberry marmalade crush prior to the game to curb restlessness, anxiety, or even extreme excitement, it works for melupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 10:35Heath is just a guy. No linebacker or safety callups so Walker and Williams should be a go.
Philly is a very, very good football team. If I had to pick any team on paper, it would be the Eagles. They have a fantastic defense and can beat you so many ways with their offense.
Green Bay absolutely has a shot today, but they need to play their best game this season.
Also Cooper DeJean has come up this week. Once again the Packers get cute with their 1st pick. DeJean should have been our first pick. Cooper our second.

Man I'm watching the 2023 Packers 49ers Playoff game.
We were the better team. So frustrating. Forgot about the poor ball spots the refs gave us on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1.

Bo Melton is also a JAG. But guess what. Just a Guy's can have a stretch of hot play. Bo Melton had that December - January last year before falling back to earth this year.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 10:35Heath is just a guy. I do believe Heath can get on a run. He has taken advantage of every opportunity he has received lately.
Game Day!
Andouille sausage bites wrapped in bacon, filled with Thai chili infused cream cheese and a jalapeño topper. Also making some white chicken chili.
