Rose colored glasses, drinking the kool aid, whatever you want to call it, you are certainly a Green Bay Packers Apologist.
The "same ole Packers" got beat in different ways. We used to score quick and often but got destroyed on defense and without any running ability.
This is not the same Green Bay Packers. You don't need rose colored glasses to see that.

Yeah, those assigning the “same ol’ Packers” label to these Packers are sorely missing the target. As @go pak go mentioned, the 2024 Packers found a new way to lose.
Yeah, we’re all disappointed. &%$@ sucks.
But this wasn’t the Barry or Mennenga type stuff. This season falls directly on MLF, Stenovich, and the underperforming players themselves. And yeah, Bisaccia, too. But this ain’t 2014. ST didn’t lose the season.
I still have faith Love can be a capable QB. He’s got to be better, though. These WRs, too. First, though, MLF and Stenovich need to be better. It starts with them.

Yeah I’m talking packers in the playoffs. I don’t care about the regular season once the new season starts. The whole purpose of the regular season is to put yourself in the best possible position for the playoffs.go pak go wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 21:08My bad. I said most of this season I felt this team was poorly coached. The things that happened on the field between fumbles, penalties, alignment and procedural issues, STs mistakes galore, etc… all issues that stem from the players but these are things that should be drilled with disciplined.
The things to me that confirmed that were an undisciplined team were &%$@ challenges, poor clock management, not deferring kicks, somehow not knowing your kickers distance in a game, etc…
LaFleur was bad all season as a HC. Offensively this was his worst season. Hafley did enough after the first 1/4 of the season to be a SB team. LaFleur though completely failed and continued to let his STs be a disaster.
1-5 in the division and couldn’t beat a competent team in the NFC all season. This team isn’t close to being a SB contender compared to the Eagles, Vikings, or Lions. I’d add the Commanders too considering they’re on a rookie deal. Finishing the season with 3 straight losses and not really looking competitive in 2 of them is sad.

What was strange is lafleur seemed really locked in on the sidelines and super mad when we would do dumb stuff, usually that’s a sign the stupid stuff is going to be addressed/dealt with. Yet, the next week..there was never any signs the issues were dealt with through the week.

Maybe disciplinary issues are beyond being "mad"Drj820 wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 23:25What was strange is lafleur seemed really locked in on the sidelines and super mad when we would do dumb stuff, usually that’s a sign the stupid stuff is going to be addressed/dealt with. Like most coaches probably are mad when discipline issues happen. And I don't think RGs don't false start because he doesn't want to make coach mad.
Losing this playoffs was basically inevitable. We weren't the better team. Our passing attack was poor all year and suffered greatly the last few weeks.
And surprise, our QB has less than a 50 QBR.
And these issues go beyond the simple answer of "we need a WR 1"
to many voices in the room, it wasn't perfect before Saleh got here, and I'am sure he had some good advice, but since then it seems Lafluer went into a funk, our players at times play robotic, unsure of what actually to do, so they are always late, or cut routes at wrong break points, or Love is slow to read progressions, take your pick, we see so few targets to RB's or TE's, about our only stretch play is a flip to Reed, why draft TE's if your not going to use them.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 22:55I said most of this season I felt this team was poorly coached. Not enough experts. Too many experts. Not run the ball enough. Too much running the ball.
Man people get desperate to just find some answer.
why don't you look at the course of the season before calling me desperate, and just how out of sorts Lafleur has looked, compared to prior seasons, look at how we pass the ball, just look at his stupid podium excuses for the way we play, you and others here defend the ineptitude we've seen, and of our 6 losses at least 4 were a consequence of poor coaching, IMHO it amounts to poor decision making by our coaches, and SAleh was here for all of it, to many voices in Lafleurs head.go pak go wrote: ↑13 Jan 2025 07:42Lol.Yoop wrote: ↑13 Jan 2025 06:39to many voices in the room, it wasn't perfect before Saleh got here, and I'am sure he had some good advice, but since then it seems Lafluer went into a funk, our players at times play robotic, unsure of what actually to do, so they are always late, or cut routes at wrong break points, or Love is slow to read progressions, take your pick, we see so few targets to RB's or TE's, about our only stretch play is a flip to Reed, why draft TE's if your not going to use them.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 22:55I said most of this season I felt this team was poorly coached. Love said after the Bears loss concerning lost momentum going into the PO's, who cares, then comes out and lays a stinker
I knew I'd read some pretty far out stuff this morning following the loss, but complaints about bringing Saleh on staff as some sort of too-many-smart-people-on-staff reason for losing is, so far, my front runner for most absurd.
...and we're just getting started.
...and we're just getting started.
There was absolutely a backwards step in LeFluer's coaching effectiveness.Yoop wrote: ↑13 Jan 2025 08:29

But we as fans have essentially zero information here to make any kind of judgement as the why. We get 3 pressers a week and MLF is getting very good at not saying anything at these pressers (whereas early in his career he was very open)
My only real observation is it does seem the Shanahan tree/system has lost some punch as defenses are figuring them out. It will be up to MLF to reinvent his own twist and improve his scheme for next year.
Too many voices in his head. Dang you Saleh!!!!!

You can do so much worse than Lafleur so I dont see any reason to fire him right now. Its still a playoff team that went 11-6. Next year is a pretty brutal schedule. I think it does need to be made clear to him that he coached a sloppy team this year that didnt play to any kind of standard that should be tolerable. I think the seat should be warm because if you come out next year and its your offense that cant get into a rhythm, your offense that cant protect the ball, and you look like the 3rd best HC in the division again why are we not going to look for better?salmar80 wrote: ↑13 Jan 2025 07:20Do you want LaFleur fired right now, or do you see a potentially successful future with him?lupedafiasco wrote: ↑12 Jan 2025 22:55I said most of this season I felt this team was poorly coached. Then yes the seat should start getting warm.
