I am cheering for the Chiefs because I'm taking a stand against the "Chiefs get all the calls" narrative. I've been watching sports long enough to have also lived through:

- The Chicago Bulls get all the calls
- The New England Patriots get all the calls

And there are probably many more examples. This is a narrative created by jealous fan bases and they just have to accept and appreciate greatness when they see it.

I do think officiating is a major problem in the league, but the refs supposedly being biased for 1 team is not one of them.

I'm not really a big, they get all the calls, guy. I just hate the flopping by a QB and TE who are better than that.

But against the Eagles? easy choice.

Can both SB teams lose? A tie should be a viable outcome even in the SB.

of course they get all the close calls and there is obvious favoritism from the refs, the Chiefs have half the penalties of their opponents, I don't care what the league says, that is not possible minus favoritism :idn:

the simple appearance of it will drive fans away, and there has always been favoritism among officials, and now it seems so obvious, to many game changing penalties in the last minutes of games, is ruining fan appeal, and really hurts the brand, or we wouldn't see the commish creating these excuses.

Its mainly social media. Its always been a problem but now its just highlighted so quickly because any bad call is uploaded to social media so quickly and everyone can see all the atrocities in almost real time. Before people could really only watch one game at a time and even then you had to wait till after to see highlights of another game. It wouldnt be so in your face 24/7 as it is today.

The other thing is I think we just have a weak brand of men right now across America. Players would always try to get calls but not as often as it is in todays game. The flopping is at an all time high. The players feeling they were held and complaining mid play instead of just hustling to finish the play is at an all time high. These guys dont have any self respect. I would personally be embarrassed if I was pushed down by another person. These guys act like the damn wind could blow them over. I dont want to watch a complain fest all game where the players are begging for flags and eventually the refs oblige and start throwing them for trash.

As much as I dislike Philly and their fans, I have to pull for them to avoid the three-peat. It's bad enough that the Pack's one SB loss so affects their overall standing, but at least they're tied for most SB wins in a row. What would make it perhaps palatable is if Mahomes went out on the first series, Philly suddenly got all the calls, winning on a last second one-off play/situation, and anything else that would result in a W for them on paper, but one which everyone would acknowledge was not really a competitive victory.

Nope. Mahomes plays the whole game. And KC is called for "controversial" unnecessary roughness on Hurts as he slides, that extends the last drive of the game and the Eagles win it on a last-second field goal.
I came into this world KICKING and screaming, naked, and covered in blood that wasn't mine.
I am prepared to go out the same way if I need to.

come on Lupe, PO game penalties alone show KC penalized half as much as opponents, and both of those 3rd and short and hurry up sneak, shows Buffalo got those 1st downs, both were so close they should have been reviewed, it's time to put chips in footballs to show down and distance, yards of gain, what the league needs to do is weed out these biased officials, it would be one thing if only a few from the objecting team complain, but now everyone is, and that's because it is so blatantly obvious.

I get what your saying about media exposure, in this case it's welcomed. :idn:

Part of the reason KC is penalized half as much during these playoffs is just being home. They dont need to have a silent snap count which means less false starts. They also get off the ball better on offense which means theyre in better position not to hold. Its why home field advantage matters. On the opposite end the road teams are getting more false starts and late getting off the ball so they hold more.
