Reed didn't react to what Jacobs said. Wicks did though.

didn't seem like that in the presser, after further review it was just Wicks, I'am glad Jacobs said what he did, also glad it upset Wicks, he upset me plenty last season, hopefully Jacobs comments affect Guty the most, and he brings in a quality vet receiver.

lol. Reed and Wicks never had a presser. Your imagination is running wild on this.

It was 4 *laugh crying* and 1 *thumbs down* emojis. That's it. This is a nothing burger.

The only reason it got your attention was because a third party slapped DRAMA IN GREEN BAY *SIREN ALARMS* and you then fell into their trap of expounding on reality to make it look far worse than it actually was.

it caught my attention because Wicks took issue and said "way to throw your team mates under the bus" or something to that affect, that's why I called him and Reed out, and both deserve it, both contributed to us being near the top for dropped passes, what gets my attention is what what Kraft talked about, the lack of accountability, the pissy culture, the lack of urgency that Guty believes is lacking.

now Jordan is using the excuse that he came back to early, pulled a groin, all that stuff may be true, so why did Lafluer even play him, Willis was on a tare, as some others have said, we can't just blame every screw up on having the youngest roster in the league.

and if this was such a nothing burger,(which I tend to agree with in the big picture), why did Wicks say what he said, there are no nothing burgers, Jacobs obviously hurt some feelings, may have pissed off Guty as well, who knows, but Jacobs made it very public that he wants us to bring Adams back, which we should.

for a young pisser (chuckles) like you and others here, there is always a tomorrow :rotf: for me and a few others, we are the Clint Eastwoods of the huddle, where tomorrow is promised to no one, we are tired of the wait till next year anthology which seems the FO phrase at the end of every season lately :hail: :hide:

I heard Wicks says Jacobs is a cancer and wishes Josh wasn't on the team.

lol yoop.

How did you get "way to throw your teammates under the bus" from this. Below is all Wicks did/"said".

This is what leadership looks like. You hold people accountable and tell them they have to be better. If not, they’ll find somebody who will.

Jacobs earned his place to demand better. Wicks? Reed? Not so much. They need to zip it, put on their big boy jocks, and step it up.

I dont' think Gutey has thin skin like that. 2, I don't think he's dumb enough to not recognize Jacobs is pure team, pure work, pure heart and all Packers at this point that he'd think a comment like this would remotely require and sort of punishment. guys like Jacobs should be sought after this offseason and every offseason.

Not once did I think Gute or any Packets front office would try and discipline Jacobs for his comments.

I don’t think it was you, I was responding to a comment that it may have pissed off Gute. I don’t think it would.

Pissed off was to strong, more like, took notice, or didn't care for, Jacob's comments concerning Adams, or that we need a REAL #1 receiver, a week or so after Guty seemed fine with our receiver situation.

This looks like sarcasm to me. So you disagree with what APB is saying? He’s right. This organization can’t be some giant echo chamber where everyone is playing well. Call players out for not performing well enough. If the goal is to finish 3rd in the division and make the playoffs as a 7th seed then mission accomplished over the last two years. But the leaders on this team are not satisfied and want more. I love to hear players tell the truth like Jacobs did.

And if the Packers go out and get a #1 WR and Reed or Wicks step their game up to be #1 caliber WRs then that’s awesome. We have 2 WR1s.

I’m not one for stirring the pot, but there is a time and a place. I think Jacobs was not just shooting his mouth off. This was calculated. He knew exactly how he wanted to answer that question and when given the chance to backtrack in another interview, he doubled down. We will see if this has any impact on the 2025 Packers, but for now, I am fine with what he said and how he said it.

I thought we oldies swore never to do that:thwap: lol, we lived through so many disappointing seasons we/I became conditioned into disillusionment, always looking to the next season when our luck would change, optimism was our friend .

aside from that, looking forward to a hard fought close contest tonight :aok:

The Browns can’t trade Garrett and get a pick for this years draft and designate it as a post June 1st trade from my understanding. However what can be done is the Packers and Browns could agree to a trade in principle and the Packers can draft a player of the Browns choosing, not sign him and then trade the rights to sign him. It’s a huge risk though for the Packers because the Brownss could back out of the trade at any moment for a number of reasons.
