This isn't a surprise. I suspect he wanted to play on the left coast. I'm sure Gute didn't want to pay him that much. Plus if we are gonna go after a FA Gute would aim for someone younger. Tae isn't done by any stretch but he's on the wrong side of 30.

17 wanted to be on the left coast and the Rams paid way more than Gute was likely willing to. I wouldn't have wanted him at the price the Rams paid.

I think it was fairly clear that Davante wanted to stay on the West Coast. He was willing to come back, but wasn't going to favor GB over anyone else. Given the deal he got, even if we matched, he would have chosen LA.

you know why, you said it yourself, Guty offered a low ball figure, Adams was insulted by it and left 3 years ago even after Brian raised the offer, that changes everything, Guty probably didn't offer because he new what the answer would be

It’s not because the writing is on the wall for what’s going to happen. This is no different when for years we had garbage at multiple positions and just don’t upgrade when it’s a clear weakness. The markets already dry and I’m willing to bet we don’t make the move in the draft to get a difference maker at WR. So we will scrape from whatever’s left and we will all scratch our heads when the playoffs come around and our offense can’t keep up with the way playoff football allows the DBs to be more physical and our guys aren’t talented enough to get open.

Rinse and repeat every god damn year. I’m sick of it.

The report is "offers" were not made. I am sure Green Bay put out some feelers and were just out on both the team comp and player comp. I would like them to take a big swing and I love DK, but this one just didn't make sense for us.

It's still frustrating, and it takes more than just 1 great receiver to beat PO teams, unless everything else is very good, and we had poor defense and ST's that Rodgers and Adams had to overcome, IMHO, it would have been easier to add more fire power with another top receiver, than the route our GM's tried by improving defense and ST's, we went 8 years without a significant addition of skill position players, that's atrocious in this modern NFL, 2014-2022 were the prime years of Rodgers, most of it with 1 great receiver, a sporadic run game, and the aforementioned defense and ST's, finally as Rodgers is walking out the door he drafts 8 skill position players, almost seemed like Guty held a grudge against Rodgers
