From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
Speaking of important signings Waukesha Sportscards has Chris Jacke, Santana Dotson, Gilbert Brown, Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, Jordan Love, and Jordy Nelson scheduled soon.
Based on his 2024 play, it looks like Hardman was strictly an inside/slot/gadget play receiver. None of his receptions from this past year went downfield. It was all pump passes from motion crossing Mahomes face or designed WR screens thrown at/behind the LOS. I don't think I saw anything directed at Hardman more than ~5 yds downfield which suggests, to me, that the elite 4.33 40 combine speed component is all but gone.
So yeah, he's not moving the needle.
Yeah that's what I was watching last night too. The plays he made in 2024 were very uninspiring. They were designed plays to a gadget WR and like you said...appears to look like his speed is gone which is why he is generating zero interest from the league.
If we had any semblence of 2019 - 2021 Hardman...that would force defenses to pay when playing us heavy man. But I don't think that is what we will get.
It seems likely that he was mainly acquired as a return guy and also MLF can draw up some gadget plays for him as well. Its also possible he doesn't make the team depending how camp goes. As said earlier by others, not a big needle mover.
I think anytime you bring in a vet who has been in a program that wins big games, it’s good for a young team. Mecole has been in the biggest game and even made plays in that game. His experience will help this org. Too few of our guys have “been there before”.

Maybe (hopefully) similar to an Andre Risen role initially. With the common denominator being Hardman and Risen won big games. The TD catch in Super Bowl LVIII by Hardman is equally comparable to Risen's catch from Favre in Super Bowl 31 (on that now famous re-enactment of the 49er Montana to Rice razor play). This could be the absolute best positive reality of Packers SUPPLEMENTARY FOOTBALL since LaCoach started spewing his COMPLEMENTARY FOOTBALL HAaBS (aka hot air and BS).
Oh and never forget the impact Desmond Howard had on the Packers 1996 return game.
It is a 1 year deal. League minimum deal worth up to $1.5 million of he reaches all milestones. $150k signing bonus.
Wow I was wrong
I was honestly thinking around $2 million to incentivize him from just returning to KC.
However, KC might not have wanted him.
Andy Herman said he hasn't lost speed based on the film but just seems strange a player who was such a speed, deep throw and open field threat has fallen so far after 2022

That’s what I don’t get either. I haven’t deep dived him enough to see where the deficiency is. Just gotta be a lack of size and being 27 now. Only so much you can do with a player that size when more and more teams are getting physical.
