Kuzbum isn’t great by any stretch but he has certainly offered more this year than Middleton. KM can still score when he makes it onto the court but that’s been rare. He ended yet another season on the injury list. His defense? Dude couldn’t keep up anymore. Opponents were blowing right by his gimp ass.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025 22:05Not a Bucks fan but still can’t believe they traded Middleton for Kuzbum. Middleton is exactly the type of player you want with Giannis and they trade him for a bum.

Welp, they’ve dug themselves a hole. Now it’s time to move the series to Milwaukee and climb back out.
Another year, another devastating playoff injury. Looks like Dame blew his left achilles.
P.S. Kuzma is more available than Middleton, sure, but that may actually be a bad thing. Dude sucks.

To me Middleton is exactly what you want with Giannis. Just a good 3 point shooter and plays good defense. 3 and D is invaluable. Kuzbum does nothing well. He’s just overall fine which is basically useless in the NBA if you aren’t on a rookie deal. They expected Kuzbum to be a good 4th scoring option or potential 6th man. He’s much worse than that.

Well, unfortunately Middleton's defense had completely fallen off. His wheels had completely left him. He and his bum ankles couldn't keep up with his opponents any longer and they attacked him repeatedly. Kuzma sucks but Middleton wasn't the answer either.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 22:49To me Middleton is exactly what you want with Giannis. Bucks re-upped Horst. I wonder what this offseason is going to bring. If it's an achilles for Lilliard, we aren't moving him while injured. Will Giannis finally be fed-up? Going to be a long offseason for Bucks fans.

I was at the game. I had a fun time. The loss didn't hurt because I am a Doc hater so I never got my hopes up for this season (in a way, I could enjoy it more for that reason -- "house money" and all that jazz); I was counting on him to screw this up for us at some point in the playoffs, and basketball isn't the sport I get super invested in anyway. It would have been nice to watch a win even if we would fell short of a chip, but what can ya do.
Very bittersweet to think that I may have watched Giannis's last game as a Buck in Milwaukee.

Right on queue, the Bucks season ends with a loss in a game they should have won. Battled valiantly but gave it away in the end.
Good riddance, 2024-2025 season.

That's 3 straight 1st round losses. Bucks were a blast to follow in 2021. It's been downhill ever since.
It is encouraging that he is willing to stay, but yeah, might not be his choice. I would never wish him away; he's the only reason I ever took interest in the Bucks.
Sadly, there is a not-stupid argument for starting a rebuild by dealing him, so him getting kicked out by is plausible.

I saw someone else say this... Would they really have extended Horst to tear it all down and start over? His main job has been to build around Giannis.

I think that is as telling a sign there is (to date) that the Bucks want to keep Giannis and build around him...again.
