Jonathon Brooks ruled out for the season already for the Panthers after tearing his ACL week 14 last season. Just a measuring point for Watson.
I saw it reported as "out for the season", as well, but as I understand PUP rules, that isn't accurate.
Physically unable to perform (PUP) is a roster designation used in the National Football League (NFL) for players who suffered injuries during football-related activities prior to the start of training camp. Players on the PUP list may participate in team meetings, and use team training and medical facilities, but cannot practice with their team. There are two separate PUP lists: an active PUP list used prior to the start of the regular season, and a reserve PUP list used during the regular season.

Active/PUP
A player who, as a result of football-related injuries, is unable to take part in training camp practices may be assigned to the active/PUP list at the start of camp. Players can be moved off the PUP list to the active roster at any time prior to the start of the regular season, even after one practice. A player cannot be placed on the PUP list, however, once he has taken the field for a practice or game.

Heckuva way to introduce him to his new teammates.

I think Stafford was actively trying to hide his chub...

Isn't it really crazy that Packers fans have interest in a player that was with them for 18 years and gave them a Super Bowl (I know, what is that again)?
I'm still interested. Unlike a lot, I do want to see him do well. He's one of the best QB's I've ever had the pleasure of watching and it was for my team on top of it. I loved the way he played the game. Just as I loved watching Brady, and mahomes and even has a kid, Lynn Dickey had a heck of a long ball. Very pretty in the air. Anyway, I'm still hoping he can play, gets some where with a good oline and see what he can still do. I know it won't be the same, but football would probably be better for it.

Haha I was being sarcastic. 😁

I am pulling for the Rams after us; I'd love to see Adams get a ring.

I've always like Adams too. Gave us a lot. Too many on his case when he left and I'm just wondering why. heck of a guy, heck of a player.

There aren’t many ex-Packers I won’t cheer for as they move on. Javon Walker was one. Za’Darius Smith another.

It’s fine to want to move on. You don’t have to be a d-bag about it, though.

Derek Carr just retired on the Saints. Actually helps their long term salary cap situation quite a bit unless they do something dumb like making a move for Cousins or something.

I came into this world KICKING and screaming, naked, and covered in blood that wasn't mine.
I am prepared to go out the same way if I need to.

The Saints just need to eat their dead cap and stop pushing it. Had they kept Carr they would have just kept trying to push his contract and add more void years. Now they’re forced to at least take a good chunk of their medicine and hopefully they just play the rookie QB contract until they’re fixed.

I swear them and the Browns. These two teams need to have the league step in and force them to fix their cap situation. It completely prevents them from being legitimate competitors.

It appears the Saints have already taken considerable measures to fix their cap situation. From the article @Raptorman linked:
At present, New Orleans has $29,121,048 in cap space in 2025, per Spotrac, the 13th-best figure in the league. With Carr, Taysom Hill, and a host of other players set to see their contracts come to an end ahead of the 2026 season, the Saints could make some serious moves in the near future.

I've mis-read these a bunch, but it looks to me like that's before Carr retired? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-orleans ... /year/2025
