Unless I’m mistaken, the Packers only play one team coming off their bye week. That’s a good thing.

Unfortunately, that one team is week 10 vs the defending SB champion Eagles.

I have no idea why they make the TNF and MNF games part of the Gold package. It’s like they’re begging Milwaukee fans to sell off their tickets.

I'll be at the Denver game on Dec 14. I was at the last one there, when our offense seemed like it would do nothing right. At least my grand daughter got a selfie with Aaron Jones. Highlight of that day.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

Challenging schedule. Back to Back games (Lions-Redskins) (Vikings-Lions) (Ravens-Vikings) against playoff teams.
Maybe we can run the table with Cleveland, Dallas, Bengals, Cardinals, Steelers and Panthers.

Early bye week. Better get the one-seed to get a late bye week, too.

I dunno. I don't think the schedule is thaaaat bad.

Our first TNF game follows a home game and is also at home. The bigger burden is on the Redski....er, Commanders.

The second TNF game is an away game, albeit at Detroit. That's less than an hour flight. It also follows a Packers home game. Not too burdensome from a travel perspective. The bigger burden, IMO, is they were scheduled for the early Thanksgiving game. Travel and early game schedule make for a tight prep window. It does, however, help all of us in terms of not interfering with the Thanksgiving meal, although a loss may curb some appetites.

Only one scheduled game against a team coming off their bye week.

I'm not a fan of the week 5 bye but say the Packers get off to a slow start with the tough schedule, it gives them a chance to regroup early enough to save the season.

I do hate that the league continually front loads the Packer schedule with early season home games and backloads the last quarter of the season with away games. That, and they habitually schedule opposing cold weather teams for those few late season home games. Kinda negates the cold weather tundra advantage, if there is one.

That said, there are no 3-game home or away runs. The travel is pretty well spaced out. The biggest travel challenge appears to be weeks 7-8 with back-to-back travel to Arizona then Pittsburgh.

All-in-all, it's not too shabby.

The NFL is obsessed with Packers Lions Thanksgiving games because each they do it a new viewer record is set.

The Lions historically get terrible views on their T-Day slot o the NFL puts the Packers in that slot every chance they get.

I guarantee the Packers are the 3rd most Thanksgiving game team the last 25 years and it's not even close.

Third overall in Thanksgiving games, but Bears are pretty close. Otherwise, nobody else is.

Sounds like the goal to me. I wonder how many are left?

So we only have 4 less Thursday games than the Lions. That's crazy.

I know old NFL rules had it where the Thanksgiving game "was" the Thursday game for the team that year. They didn't start doing the multiple Thursday games (Thursday and TNF) until the last couple of years. One exception was 2007 when they had the Packers and Cowboys play TNF but it was the game after Thanksgiving so it was a "normalized week" for both teams.

The Packers have played 9 Thanksgiving games since 2001. The Bears have played 7 Thanksgiving games since 2001. It is far closer than I imagined honestly. The Bears had a run of T-Day games the last 10 years. 6 games the last 10 years for the Bears.

Since 1999. The Lions have 95 Thursday games compared to 59 for the Packers overall. Since 1945 the Lions have played every Thanksgiving. Why? Who the hell knows.

TNF started in 2006.

This team better be good and play that way every week if they want to go places. I know things change, teams we think are going to be vying for a title fall and falter, always surprise teams to start the year, timing is everything a lot of times, but on paper, this schedule doesn't seem to lay much out in the Packers favor.
