My wife is from Detroit.

I just texted her whole family on how I should celebrate the NFC North title.

"I'm not used to being here. As a LIons fan you have been here many times, what do you suggest?"

If we win our next 3 games we get the bye in the playoffs. How cool would that be.

The talking heads said it. We would get what we had coming for hiring a guy that had a cup of coffee with Sean McVay. I'll take it.

A LONG, LONG way to go, but holding on to the #1 seed is very likely going to mean playing the 2nd-place finisher in the NFCW at Lambeau Divisional Play-off weekend. Right now, that's Seattle, again.

Very cool. :aok:

And not only that, having the no 1 seed would increase our chances at making the big game.

I am personally not one that throws the towel in if we don't get that no 1 seed, and don't consider it guaranteed SB berth if we get it... Still, would be beneficial to go for it since we have the opportunity.

So I don't know if I want the Packers to clinch the #1 seed or not before week 17 and making that game meaningless.

There is a possibility it happens; though after thinking about it...it's very unlikely.

So basically if we are 12-4, we can't have a 3-way tie because we would lose the 3-way breaker.

I think the only likely way is if the Hawks lose this week to Washington and then beat the Rams so both have 5 losses and we can use our head to head over NO's.

So more likely than not....we will need to play the Bears to win.

I like that, too. Play an important game and then get a week off, the only team in the NFC to rest up and get healthy. Fans or no fans, let the Lambeau mystique matter.

Saw some Rodgers quotes on Twitter, but you really have to think about it that he is 1-3 in NFC Title Games, but not a single one has been at Lambeau. I think this matters to him to get the #1 seed this year and have that potential Title Game at Lambeau.

I think I have this right.

Since the merger (1970) the Packers have won 15 Division titles. The Vikings have won 18
If you go back to 1961 the year the Vikings came in to existence, the Packers have a 5 to 2 edge in the Sixties.

Not really sure winning the division really means any more. Packers have 7 NFL titles since 1961. Vikings have one (1969).
