we all loved Kevin Greens enthusiasm and energy as he coached our OLB's, and we respected him when he left coaching for us to spend more time raising his family, he put his priority's in order.

such a huge loss, RIP Kevin you'll never be forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Kevin Greene's passing. So glad that Kevin Greene was able to come to Green Bay to help the Packers D excel and win Super Bowl 45.

It is time to salute Kevin Greene with a series of outstanding Packers defensive performances ........ starting Sunday night against the Titans and carrying on into 2021

Yeah, he's a guy that you would always want around your team and organization. Not many like him.

On January 17, 2014, it was announced that he would be stepping away from coaching "in order to spend more time with (his) wife, Tara, and (his) children, Gavin and Gabrielle". He hoped to return to coaching after his children went to college.

And he did end up back in the NFL coaching for another year or two a few years later.

I just remember thinking, at the time, I wonder if this is, in any way, tied to his health. The timing was so bizarre, it seemed. I wonder if he knew his time was short. Regardless, still terribly sad.

It matters more how we live than how long we live. Kevin did well for himself. I was just wondering about his student, CMIII and see that he is a free agent. That surprised me. I would have thought that either someone would pay him or he would retire

doubtful, he played for Capers, and Capers brought him here, why does this have to become a conspiracy theory, he quit to be with family, and wanted to be more available for them, that he decided to go back to coaching a obvious passion a few years later shouldn't surprise anyone, people change there minds often.
Green helped a lot of players get to max potential, Mathews has 91 sacks, Hamstring issues and other injury's probably robbed him of 30 plus more, it's debatable if he'll ever join his mentor in the HOF.

Denver made an offer to CMIII when Von Miller got injured, but he wanted more than they offered. I wondered if he'd join GB for a playoff run - but again- the cash seems to be a factor and the Packers haven't got much.

The Packers wanted to groom Greene to replace Capers- but that would have required an even greater time commitment from Kevin and he couldn't do that at the expense of being a Dad for his kids.

Kevin did everything at 1000 miles an hour and his family had already sacrificed so much for football- that he wanted to be with them and be there for them. In the video Greene talks about his son asking him to show him what he taught Clay today and Kevin told his son, "no- maybe tomorrow" and kinda blew him off. Then the next day he realized he had blown off his own son and decided that was unacceptable. So he made the change.

No conspiracy, no indictment of the Packers - just real life for a real man.
