Packers awarded Snacks Harrison on waivers

does anyone have any insight into how he played in those three games with the Seahawks?

I didn't see him play for the Seahens, but based on what I have gathered, pretty much exactly what you would expect.

Harrison, 32, played in six Seahawks games, rising to their active roster after a lengthy acclimation stay on their practice squad. In typical Snacks fashion, he performed as a solid run-stuffer with less-than-solid showings on passing plays. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall score of 68.1 — his 81.7 ground grade was weighed down by his 47.9 passing mark.

I'm not certain, but I don't think the Packers can do anything about his current contract. I have a vague memory that the CBA only allows a player to sign one contract per league year. If so, they can't extend him or add a sweetener until March at which point he's a FA.

But I could be mistaken... and with a little luck this will be my final whiff in 2020. (still 15 hours to go !)

come on, give us another whiff or two, 11: 03 and counting, I have no idea concerning the particulars of fa signings, I expect your right, that we would have to wait till the end of this NFl year to resign him.

from his comments it sounds as though he'd like to play a couple more years, so if the price is right maybe he could do so here.

Yeah, do what is necessary to sign him and hope that he does not have to play. He is a cheap insurance policy. If the O plays like the Titan's game he won't have to. But we all remember last year and never want to see our D gassed and gashed like that again.

Especially vs NFC opponents in January, really all our opponents want to run the ball.

The Saints, Bucs, Rams...even Seahawks are all teams who want to gain yards on the ground. This can be really huge for us if Harrison is effective at shutting down opposing run games.

just think a front of Smith, Gary, Harrison, Clark, and Smith, could bring pressure, as well as be formidable run stuffers, and make it easier for Barnes and ? ILB to finish off any runner to get past that front, hopefully Snacks lives up to all the hype

We'll see. PUP is an option, but I can't see him missing any more time than that. Unless we find out that the damage is more catastrophic, it's an ACL and 100's of players suffer this injury and make it back the next year no worse for wear.

Anywho, back to Snacks. Can he play LT?

Usually the early end of these injuries is 10 months.

Maybe 9 months. Maybe. Week 3 would be very, very impressive
