Yeah, some of the 'jumps' we have seen in player progression is almost what we always hope for, but don't often see. Crazy how many of them have really come out, even from last year's good team.

Jaire turning from good to elite, Savage from average to great, even Amos getting better.

Then a guy who has not gotten enough love, a name many didn't even want on the roster this year, Billy Turner. Going from complete average replacement level player, moving to a harder position to RT and really playing at a great level.

Tonyan just coming seemingly out of nowhere, we always have that guy we think could be good, just really doesn't happen, for it to happen that quickly, insane.

Even Lucas Patrick earning so many reps this year. Plenty out of necessity, but also plenty he has just flat out earned. Hard not to root for a kid like that.

Then Davante just taking it to a whole new level, from elite to super elite.

Same with Rodgers, he was amazing last year, but anyone who thought his accuracy, comfort level, decision making is as good as this year is just crazy. Comfort level and out of nowhere improved offensive line play probably the two biggest things. But whatever he is doing, just making it looks so easy, haven't seen his accuracy this good since... 2011? There are legit games when you can count 2-3 passes the whole game where maybe it was a little off. Do we remember week 17 last year against Detroit? One might be the single biggest reason for drafting Love.

Bakhtiari and Linsley both playing a noticeably higher level this year than last. Elgton still just shocking me how you can strike gold with a guy like that, so young, so comfortable, so versatile, so good. Just unreal, what a find that guys was. Literally can't think of anything else you could even hope for from him.

Just crazy the development we have seen on this team, in basically real time and crazy for it to happen to so many with very little regression coming. Preston for sure, maybe Kenny a little who seems to be back on track. Can't think of a single other player who is playing worse this year. King? I don't know if I'd call him worse this year, about the same.

Just hats off to this coaching staff. To recap and emphasize the most important part of my rambling, the player development we have seen is unreal along with the minimum regression of talent.

Even our scrap heap free agents, Wagner and Kirksey. Wagner gets hurt in TC and isn't even in the Top 7 for OL on opening day and looks like a waste. Now he is solidly our starting RT. Kirksey, also got hurt, and has been a forum whipping boy, but a lot has pointed to him playing his best ball in the past month highlighted by a statistical and performance best against Tennessee.

Barnes, out of no where.

This is a solid 2010 comparison. No matter who you put where, it just works. I think a part of this whole development is everyone else playing at a high level all around these guys. The bar is set really, really high and our play makes it easy for some of these guys to just come in and do their thing.

Yeah, if this keeps up we may only have one more year with Stenovich before he's poached for a coordinator role, or like an "OL coach/assistant HC" "promotion"

Absolutely wild the way the OL has worked together, developed, progressed, improved, gelled, and dealt with adversity.

I don't think the national conversation gives nearly enough mention as to how many different OL lineups we've had. They do those graphics all the time for teams that have STRUGGLED with it, like "X number of starting lineups; X number of players receiving snaps; X number of players with snaps at multiple positions"

It's almost like the team handled it so well no one noticed.

No one even asked about Wagner's injury in the post game presser! It came up at the very end of the Monday presser. Like our starting RT went down and it wasn't even worth a story.

if a person missed Wagner sitting on the ground after that play they wouldn't have noticed that we had to make changes with OL personal.
Stenovich has really done a great job, same with other coaches, just imagine that they did what they did with limited off season prep

Barnes (better play at ILB) has really helped this defense take the next step, imho, base front didn't hurt either.

He really has been an unsung hero. Not to mention he had an uphill battle to begin with. A veteran group that played a certain way under a respected coach for their entire careers and he comes in and blows the whole thing up. It could not have been easy to get those guys comfortable with doing something completely different.

maybe the players became complacent after being coached so long by Campen, I actually thought Campy did a excellent job too.

not sure what you mean when saying he blew the whole thing up?

maybe the line calls are simpler, cause from the eye ball test the schems havn't seemed to change to much, still zone front side and man back side on most run sets.

I still think some of the success for the OL is a result of pre snap motion, it forces the defense to do more thinking, and thinking slows reaction times, just my opinion, either way gotta love what we've seen from the play of our OL.

I am not an OL expert, but from what I read the techniques are pretty night and day from Campen to Stenovich. Another big change is in their alignments where Stenovich had them reduce their splits significantly. Seems to have reduced interior pressure and effectiveness of stunts and twists against the interior of our OL.

Yeah, I think there were a decent amount of quotes from the OL during the transition about how different everything is--plus this year everyone on the OLine, to a man, said something about how important it is to have a year in the new shceme and techniques to be able to really play instead of trying to get used to it. But I also am no expert and don't really know.

This is a tremendous year just as good as 2011 in some respects

Offense has the 2016 Falcons 2018 Rams Shanahan scheme feel where everything looks easy and Rodgers >> Ryan and Goff

Right now most team rushing yards since 2013, will surpass that next week and be highest since 2003 with Ahman Greens career season

Davante putting up record numbers

O-line playing fantastic, moving parts working well when needed

Defense coming around and getting production out of young players

We've stayed pretty healthy and avoided covid roster havoc

Think of what fantastic experience Jordan Love is getting.

Usually when they say "sit a while and learn"the learning subject matter isn't a team enroute to a #1 seed with a dominant offense. Rodgers got some very similar experience in 2007. So few QB's with an arm worth a high draft pick get this sort of experience.

He's going to be such a great backup in 2022. I'm so stoked.

Seems like so many players are improving, I’m expecting to see Frank Zombo someplace in the building. ;-)

It seems like the staff is trying to make things simple. Simple enough that everybody can process less and think more about just playing naturally and with more motivation. That is a sign of real good coaching.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

Only if the team lays an egg against the Bears. Remember, this is the same team who lost Adams for a couple of games, and the group of terrible receivers [ according to the experts ] picked up the slack. They've had several O-linemen miss games and shuffled players around on the fly during games and made it work.
If the running game remains strong and the defense can continue to make improvements like they have, everything's there for the taking.

We're 2-1 without Bakh and 10-2 with him.

We now need to go 4-0 without him.

I do find it frustrating that we're treating this injury as if it is unprecedented and without looking in detail at the OL performance in his absence earlier this year and instead in hypothetical generalities.

A few are, but most realize we can over come this. In my opinion these are the injuries we may not be able to overcome:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Jaire Alexander
3. Kenny Clark

0 sarcasm. Earnest excitement. Though I left it vague intentionally for fun.

Drafting Love in round one is not the choice I would have made. Trading up for him was definitely not. But the moment I accepted that he is here, I'm all in on the excitement of developing our next great QB while winning with our current great QB. It's among the most exciting things as a fan to root for one of the only teams in the league that understands the worthiness of development in a QB's prices and journey.
