Yep, that panned out perfectly for you. Anyone looking to trade? I want to change things around. Everyone available except Mahomes and Watson!
Wisconsin Cheese Is Better Than California Cheese!
Was having some good convo in my local dynasty league about the QB's this year. This is a very good class, and everyone agreed on that, but people were very different on a few of the QB's. Figured I would take it here to discuss, even though it is early and we do not know landing spots. Let's start:
Rankings off a site I found, but feel free to discuss positives and negatives about each:
1. Trevor Lawrence (6'6" 220 lbs)
I think everyone is in agreement on Trevor. He is a generational talent. His QB smarts are off the charts, he has the size, the arm, is mobile, the whole package. Is there anyone that thinks that Trevor is not the best prospect in this class?
2. Justin Fields (6'3" 223 lbs)
Fields is crazy accurate and rarely makes mistakes. He can make all the throws and is very mobile. His talent is undeniable, but there has been talk that some scouts have been giving him a lower grade than other QB's. Could slip to a better team....
3. Trey Lance (6'3 221 lbs)
Lance is crazy intriguing. His potential is sky high, but playing for NDSU is a knock some have. He has size, strength, and a great deep ball. With a laser for an arm, I look at him as the Josh Allen type.
4. Zach Wilson (6'3" 203 lbs)
Probably the biggest riser of the group, Wilson is ranked as the QB2 on some boards. Another QB with a big arm, Wilson takes chances zipping the ball into tight windows. He isn't as mobile as anyone above him, but has great potential at the next level.
5. Mac Jones (6'2" 205 lbs)
Jones is a dude with a good arm, decent accuracy, and a player who had good games against some real solid college defenses in 2020. This is the guy that people were most split on. Some like him a lot, some hate him.
6. Kyle Trask (6'5" 239 lbs)
Trask is nearly the size of Big Ben, is not insanely mobile, but makes up for it with his arm. He can chuck the deep ball and score points that way, and can make the intermediate throws.
Any discussion?

Oh, I didn't expect this; I guess it makes sense here instead of draft talk because it's not like the Packers are taking another QB
Though to me, the destinations will matter a ton. I mean, not for Lawrence. But, say, Trey Lance needs to go to the right coaching staff and team environment. He should probably sit a year. He has so little experience.
Wilson and Fields are probably good picks wherever they end up. How early you take them I guess will depend on if they are year one starters or not.
Mac Jones is back to a scheme fit. I'd gobble him up on the Patriots or Saints but not on the Steelers or Bears.
Kyle Trask is a wild card to me. Definitely can buy in if he has a staff and system and a year on the bench, but then that's more of a waiting game and lowers his dynasty value.

Wait a second, mnkcarp has one QB on his roster, and it is Lamar...... Is there any way he doesn't go QB?BF004 wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021 10:22BF Mock v.002

HAHA, guess I didn't see IR. Still, only 2 starting QB's in a system where we can start 3 weekly is not nearly enough. Especially in the best draft for QB we have seen, maybe ever?

If Carolina and Philly take 1st round QBs, I'm back in the market; actually, really, if either of them do.
But Jalen Waddle's not bad

A guy I have in my top 5 isn't even in BF's mock.

No sense ranking these guys until you know the fit. Assuming Etienne, though. It will also be really interesting with the QB's, too, as I am not sure anyone other than Lawrence should start in 2021. They would all really benefit in sitting. Some because they will be going to bad teams and others because they just need all the work they can get before being thrown into the mix.

I mean I liked Baker Mayfield more than Josh Rosen but took Josh Rosen because I thought he had a better fit and a more pro-ready skillset so maybe just go by talent and ignore fitsNCF wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021 15:10No sense ranking these guys until you know the fit. Always, always, always draft the talent and you will be better in long term. I really wanted Mahomes in another league, and thought, "God, he might now start for a year to two years, I am not waiting that long for a payoff!"YoHoChecko wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021 15:31I mean I liked Baker Mayfield more than Josh Rosen but took Josh Rosen because I thought he had a better fit and a more pro-ready skillset so maybe just go by talent and ignore fitsNCF wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021 15:10No sense ranking these guys until you know the fit. I’d be interested in any kind of trade talks.
Lemme know if you want something specific or just want to explore some options.
I’d be interested in moving up a bit in the draft or also moving back a back.
