Idk. Last year of his deal and only logic ive heard is they arent ready to compete now. Which Idk if thats true or not.NCF wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021 12:04I have heard a few rumblings about this. What is the logic in NE moving him? They do not need the cap space, right?Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021 11:35The move that needs to happen is getting gilmore to GB. 7 mil cap hit. Thats peanuts for the DPOTY in 19.

I don't think they are unless they really build up this year, which they can. But they need a QB. At this point, they don't have one. I'm hesitant on Gilmore, Sherman too. Not sure I want either unless they come cheap.Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021 12:32Idk. Last year of his deal and only logic ive heard is they arent ready to compete now. Allen Robinson getting the tag. Still wouldn't rule out a new deal or a tag and trade for him. Betting he won't be happy playing on the tag.

I think its cheap. Id say a 3rd and a future pick could net him. 7 mil this season on a guy 2 years removed from the best d player in the league. He plays while the future rookie learns.paco wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021 12:34I don't think they are unless they really build up this year, which they can. But they need a QB. No. Bears released him when he retired so he's a free agent.

I believe Gilmore wants to leave, NE not likely to compete this year, $7 million is not nothing, especially with cap carryover these days, and maybe looking at only a 2023 4th round comp pick at best, maybe more likely a 5th.NCF wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021 12:04I have heard a few rumblings about this. If you could possibly get a 2021 2nd, maybe a decent 3rd and/or a player, those are the kind of logical moves all fans probably wish their teams would make in that situation.
Saints released WR Emanuel Sanders today, GB had talked to him last year. 34 yrs old, but not done yet.

I don't think it makes sense to add him anymore. I saw someone else say it, do we really need more WRs that won't play special team? Especially a 34 year old one? Does he offer anything above MVS or Lazard? Is he going to be any better than Funchess? I pass.
RIP JustJeff
I agree.
Read More. Post Less.
I agree. CB, Offensive/Defensive Tackle and RB are the positions where I think adding a cheap veteran makes sense.
Not really anywhere else.
Oh. And Mercedes Lewis. Yeah we need him back.

While I see no reason in going after him, but he was the Saints leading receiver last year, so he's hardly done.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑10 Mar 2021 12:11Nah he seemed pretty done. I would hate to waste a spot on him that could be used to develop a younger guy

If Sanders still wants to play, that is maybe one of those guys you just wait around on till everyone else is out of money.
I'd rather have Sanders for a year than EQ for one more year if the cost is somewhat negligible.

I don't know. I have never seen him play. Does he get in scuffles on the field when his team is getting beat or does he sit on the bench and bury his head in a towel? DUI and violating team rules aren't exactly street cred. Would rather he have assaulted someone (not someone innocent though) or have gang ties.salmar80 wrote: ↑08 Mar 2021 19:49The Titans drafted DL Isaiah Wilson in the 1st round of 2020 draft. They have now traded him to the Dolphins for a swap of 7th rounders.
Now that's what you call a BUST.
Is this the kind of A-hole you're looking for our D, @texas ?
Wilson, who turned 22 last month, played only four snaps as a rookie. His first season included a DUI arrest, a suspension for violating team rules, a pair of stints on the reserve/COVID-19 list and placement on the non-football illness list to work on personal issues.
Titans General Manager Jon Robinson recently said Wilson must “make a determination” if he wants to play pro football. Soon after, Wilson posted and deleted a tweet saying he was done playing for the Titans.
