I'm still unclear if a 55-man roster is going to be a thing or if the 53 + 2 (PS) rule that they implemented last year is the change.

Rumors swirling about Russell Wilson to the Bears based on some sportbook activity (removed the prop bet, Bears SB odds improved)

Wouldn't scare me in the slightest.

Garbage offense, have to give up 3 1st round picks, probably others, guessing a decent young player as well.

They already have no cap room and a deteriorating, aging defense.

Already over the cap before tagging Allen Robinson, which also doesn't include Russell Wilson's cap hit, guessing it would be really really damn hard to get under $20 million even if min salary this year looking at Dak's contract.

Wilson already gunna be 33 this year, they won't be able to support him with enough talent in the foreseeable future and more likely than that he'll have to live through a HC and GM change within a year or two.

Pretty dumb conclusion, imo, I’d take near any fair offer vs risking going into this FA market right before about 50-75 vets are about to be released even before FA starts.

Especially because I couldn't even tell you who Matt Milano was before looking it up. Saw Buffalo games here and there. Not a single shred of, "Oh, yeah. I remember that guy."

We could do worse than Janoris Jenkins.

Like flooding the FA market with bodies, don't necessarily like the team pick 28 to our 29 needing a CB now though.

Per Schefter:

Texans and former Browns and Packers’ LB Christian Kirksey reached agreement on a one-year contract worth up to $4.5 million, per source.
Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

A bit surprised he got that much.

Clearly the Texans must think Kirsksey is the missing link between them and a SB run.

i think the Texans current front office was swayed by Mr. Kirksey's first name as much as any LB skills he has.
