Damn, that's a hefty contract for a very good young TE.
that's why I think Tonyan will have suitors. He's not the best receiving TE or the best blocking TE- but he is one of the few who can do both with equal aplomb. And that's what makes him a valuable piece for any offense.
I also agree. There is in no way a glut of good TEs in the league. A lot of teams would pay for a good chance at getting one. I would hate to lose him for only a 2nd round pick especially when the difference is only $1.382 Million.

Look what Smith just got and Tonyan had 11 more receptions on 6 less targets, 3 more TDs, and 8 more 1st downs.

Your Tonyan loss fearmongering is the most bizarre thing on the internet these days.

Wow, good job Corey!
Wish we could have kept him, but that's tough to do with our current cap situation.
He's come a long way since being forced to start because JC Tretter couldn't go Week 1.

PFT reports that they are unaware of a single time a player tagged at a 2nd round level has ever been signed to an offer sheet, let alone change teams due to it.

Holy butts that's a lotta money for a center. We had Linsley for 7 years and paid a total of 28M. He'll earn almost that in his first two years in LA.

Glad to see a class act earn the big bucks and join his buddy Bulaga.

Didn't we try to nab Kyle Fuller from the Bears on a 2nd round tender sheet? And forced the Bears to pony up?

Looks like that was a transition tag

He wasn't a RFA. He was an UFA and the Bears put the transition tag on him which only gave them the right of first refusal.

I kept giving him 3 for 39 to resign here, actually a little surprised he didn't get more given his average is only 12.5 with 2 additional years than what I was doing.

I played HS 'ball with him, always pulling for the guy (except against us). It would have been cool to try to snag him, but alas.
