Yeah, me neither. Also, to be fair, we play AFCN next year and played AFCS last year, so really it should be between Chiefs and Bills and either would present a big challenge and a fun game.

That is a fair point, so that way we would never end up playing a team two years in a row like we would with Tennessee.

It'll be Kansas City, because the NFL will want a rematch week 1 after Green Bay beats the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

I know things change year to year, but that schedule looks brutal.

Fortunately the Lions, Vikings and Bears have virtually the same schedule.

The only two differences (at least until they announce game 17!) are that we get Washington while the others get one of the other deadbeats from that division; and we get Saints (possibly minus Brees) while the others share around the Panthers, Falcons and Buccaneers.

On a side note, if there is a game 17, wouldn't it be planned that all 16 extra games would be overseas - thereby avoiding giving anyone home field advantage? Bring the Packers to London! (Or better still, Old Trafford, Manchester!)

NFL Network will feature a special Schedule Release '21 show packed with fresh schedules and division-by-division analysis, breaking down the top matchups and prime-time games. This year's schedule release will also be a bit different because of a new element: the 17th regular-season game.
We already know who will meet in the additional game, which follows a simple pairing methodology of matching up division standings in opposing interconference divisions (i.e., the first-place Chiefs will face the first-place Packers, with the rest of the AFC West and NFC North following suit), and where they'll face off. What we don't know is when those games will take place, making for an intriguing wrinkle in a release that is already highly anticipated.

NFL Kickoff Weekend will begin Thursday night, Sept. 9, and the last regular-season games will be played on Sunday, Jan. 9.

You can start making your tentative reservations to tentatively spend the tentative weekends of January 15th, 22nd and 29th in Titletown ..... because ..... The 2022 NFL playoffs start with the Wild Card round on January 15-16 and the following week the Divisional playoff games will start on January 22-23. Conference championship games will start on Sunday, January 30th. The AFC Championship will be played at 3:05 pm ET on CBS, and the NFC Championship will be played at 6:30 pm ET on FOX. Super Bowl 56 will be played on February 13, 2022 at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA. The Super Bowl will be televised on NBC at 6:30 pm ET.
