Judging by BF004 's fridge and the rest of you scallywags, maybe I should be the designated voice of reason tonight, and just stick with water.

Its the NFL Draft. Reason goes out the door when GM's and Jerry Jones are called on to make decisions. No reason for us to be any more so.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑29 Apr 2021 12:33Judging by @BF004 's fridge and the rest of you scallywags, maybe I should be the designated voice of reason tonight, and just stick with water.

"But can this EDGE throw the long ball? Can he run a 4.3 forty? No? Shouldn't have even been on our board!"TheGreenMan wrote: ↑29 Apr 2021 12:09The downside of picking late in the evening is most of the forum is rat !@#$ drunk and by the time we're up everyone thinks they're Al Davis.

Been seeing some rumors of the Saints trying to make a big move up.
Can't say that would make a lot of sense for them, unless they go QB, but I don't see how they move up to like top 8 or so from 28. Depleting all those picks and their still crazy cap situation, they'd have no chance to build a quality team around this rookie QB in like 3-4 years from now.

Rumor has it there is 1 QB they would consider if there otherwise it may be for a CB. That's a massive move up for a CB, I don't care who it is. But Saints can't afford more than 1 draft pick anyway for the next century, so why not go get the guy you want.BF004 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2021 13:15Been seeing some rumors of the Saints trying to make a big move up.

Now we've got Tim Tebow rumors. It's time to start this thing.

stay off the stools, and buy more tools , thats a quote from a long ago past employer after I had a liquid lunch and the work truck was stolen with about 2K worth of tools inside, the guy got real bitchy about itTheGreenMan wrote: ↑29 Apr 2021 12:33Judging by @BF004 's fridge and the rest of you scallywags, maybe I should be the designated voice of reason tonight, and just stick with water.

I wish I had the ability to start a "Pats trying to trade for Brady" rumor.
Also. Now that I live in Cincinnati in the Eastern Time Zone....are you f*cking kidding me?
The DRAFT starts at 8:00? This thing won't end until after midnight. I mean what the serious hell NFL. Start the draft at 7:00 eastern. Nobody in California watches or cares anyway.

Welcome to EST adjustment. Took me years to get used to it.go pak go wrote: ↑29 Apr 2021 14:06Also. Now that I live in Cincinnati in the Eastern Time Zone....are you f*cking kidding me?

This is why the prime time draft was sooooooo crappy for us over here.
Like, come ON man. A 4-5 hour show starting at 8 pm? How about a 3.5 hour MNF game starting at 8:30? The wooorrrrrst
Also I cannot wait until 4 QBs are off the board and the "who's going where" talk is settled.

SF throwing out all this smoke trying to force us into their trade offer, where we then trade pick 3 to the Saints for 16 first round picks.

I thought I would be half-asleep by now while wading through mocks and waiting for the draft to start. Nothing like a once-in-a-decade QB drama to keep one awake, I guess.

I’m watching at a sports bar with a buddy and I am concealing my loyalty so I don’t have to talk to strangers about Aaron Rodgers.
Wearing my packers socks, which I wore under my army uniform for their Super Bowl run while I was deploying/deployed (Falcons game was during the flight)
I have on yellow shorts and a forest green T-shirt.
And I’m wearing my University of Georgia hat to sport the “G”
That’s where I’m at tonight.

Can you believe we essentially got Jaire and Darnell over him?
The Saints have exercised Davenport’s fifth-year option, the team announced Thursday. That means Davenport’s 2022 salary of $9.553 million is now fully guaranteed.
Davenport has appeared in 37 games, starting 14, in his first three seasons. The Saints picked the defensive end at No. 14 overall in 2018, trading up from No. 27 to do so. They gave up their 2019 first-round pick in the process.
In 11 games last season, Davenport picked up 1.5 sacks, three tackles for loss, and eight QB hits. He started 13 games in 2019 — his best year so far — recording 6.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, five TFLs, and 16 QB hits.

I remember the house was split on Davenport that year, the word was he was young, raw but with a high ceiling , I think I had a crush on Allen who went top 5, Jaire was a realistic pick, and we where able to end up taking him moving 4 slots back after all was said and done.
You could make an argument Jaire is the most valuable defender in football.
Not an easy thing to define, but like who could potentially draw the most value in a trade. Maybe who would go first if you were doing like a madden style redraft at the beginning of a franchise mode.
Maybe Bosa in SF, Donald still young enough to be in consideration.
