If the Bucs nab Elijah Moore I'll be so mad.

Should I say pay attention? Had Stokes going 35 to Atlanta.

dangit. Shouldn't have moved Tryon out of that spot. Round 1 over. Overall, not crazy actually. Time to wrap it up and go to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow.

How do we fee about the Bears getting Fields?

And less so, about the Lions and Vikings getting their likely LTs?

Think the Bears got the second best QB in the draft, personally.

I remember Sherman benching him after too many PI's

Definitely a guy I think can be quite good. I didn't super rank them, but I liked him.

'Guy who needs work/refinement going to Chicago, where QBs go to die. If there were any doubt he will bust, CHI traded away a boatload of picks to get him, so he will likely not be getting the supporting cast he needs to succeed.

So yeah, I am gonna be cocky about this one. :aok:

NFL Network was like oddly shocked to see the 49ers pick Lance over Fields. This is weird. Every analyst I listened to said Lance is the perfect fit for Kyle Shanahan, but they kept hearing rumors of Mac Jones. Fields was never really in the running, and the scheme fit and upside of Lance seems perfect for them.

How are expert analysts less informed than the few folks I listened to?

I think the org and people around the org tell these guys things, and it never occurs to them that they are being played as useful idiots for smokescreens. They hear something, say they have a "source" and report it as gospel truth.

Sure they heard it probably, but they were all lied to.

It will happen again too.

I liked Fields, but zero fear.

Crap cap situation, aging D, gunna lose Robinson next year, short on picks going forward.

Also, I've got those great spreadsheets by @British pulled up and it seems like every team likes high RAS guys, not just us
Yes. The RAS identifier comes into it a bit more on days two and three. Most top picks are athletic gems as well as great college production and sparkling tape. But as players drop off in quality, teams will only be able to choose two of the three and it will be interesting to see if the Packers continue to pick out the RAS athletes.

A lot of options tomorrow. Trading our 2nd and 3rd could get us to 48ish. If we trade our 2nd and 4ths we can only move a few spots to about 56ish.

I’d like to see them make a move up with a lot of good players available. I’m fine getting a slot guy on day 2.

This is the ultimate test for the Bears. Everyone says the Bears are where QBs go to die. Fields is by far the most talented QB the Bears have ever picked.
If he bombs, then it's true.

He doesn’t tackle well in the run game. Offensive Coordinaters will attack him with WR screens.

Speed demon though.
Can his tackling be any worse than Kevin Kings?

I will say, for those of us that really invest a ton of time into The Draft, we will NEVER be able to really stack these guys properly unless there ever becomes a fan interviews prospects type of thing. As much as Gute talks about character and interviews with every single pick, we just never, ever have the full picture. Also, seeing Stokes make a self-hype video with a Go Pack Go and seeing his genuine excitement, it's impossible not to hop on this kid's train and wish him the very, very best.
