Ghost's Crystal Ball and AR
I think a deal has been worked out with Denver.
Rodgers will be traded post June 1, making the cap acceleration actually manageable.
We will get Patrick Surtain and 2022 and 2023 high picks. Our secondary will be elite for years to come.
They get AR.

So many things make this highly, highly unlikely. I would rather play the wait and see game than point them all out.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 10:25I think a deal has been worked out with Denver.

I would accept:
But if this offer came in, I think I'd listen.
It's essentially 3 firsts, a second, and a veteran QB of borderline backup/starter quality.
The Broncos would be left with Rodgers and Lock at QB, Cortland Sutton and Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler at WR with Noah Fant at TE.
I think they'd still be better off post-trade than pre-trade.
I'd use 2021 pick 40 on Elijah Moore and then spend the rest of the draft stocking up mostly on trench players on both sides of the ball.
But I'm entertaining this notion only as a fun, anything-could-happen, flesh-out-my-feelings sort of exercise. I don't think, want, or predict it will happen.

Similarly, to the Raiders I'd accept something like:
- Alex Leatherwood
- Henry Ruggs
- Marcus Mariota
- 2021 2nd
- 2021 4th (since their picks are lower--Leatherwood and 48 vs Surtain and 40)
- 2022 1st

"Our secondary will be elite for years to come."
Where do you think that elite secondary is coming from BF004, Josh Jackson? No, Stokes is a Packer in that crystal ball.
RIP JustJeff
If we are talking Broncos proposals in here, a Broncos beat writer suggested it may include Chubb along with multiple future draft picks.

Nope. Denied. That's probably why the conversation was so quick.
You give us our exact needs on rookie deals or go home and we'll hold pat.
Specifically, if we are starting Jordan Love, the trade must come with pieces that help him succeed, like OL or a WR or both. In addition to a veteran QB because it's late in that market right now.
Were you in the room when this deal went down?Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 10:31It's a done deal.NCF wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 10:28So many things make this highly, highly unlikely. Miami:
Last year's #1 pick, this year's #1 pick--both at NEED positions for us
A veteran QB who can back up or borderline start
A second round pick tonight
Next year's #1 pick
Obviously the least realistic part of any of these scenarios is the pick tonight. Because this deal, even if anything were to happen, wouldn't happen that quickly.
- Jaylen Waddle
- Christian Wilkins
- Jacoby Brissett
- 2021 pick 36 (or pick 50 and an additional later pick)
- 2022 1st

sounds like this is what a few including yourself would like to see happen.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 10:25I think a deal has been worked out with Denver.

get serious, every comment is hate filled and rediculous with you, you should realize minus Rodgers the next 20 years could be Packers not reaching the playoffs instead of the 18 after Rodgers leaves after 2022, so go ahead and kick him out the door,Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 11:27Yes.
The only CB on the roster is Jaire.
I doubt any of the others would be in the NFL in 2021 if GB cut them.

Do you really think that if GB cut King today that he'd be snapped up on the waiver wire? And we have guys on our roster that play behind KK.Yoop wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 11:53get serious, every comment is hate filled and rediculous with you, you should realize minus Rodgers the next 20 years could be Packers not reaching the playoffs instead of the 18 after Rodgers leaves after 2022, so go ahead and kick him out the door,Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 11:27Yes.

Our DL is ok. Sans KC, it is mediocre. Our OLB is great. Our ILB is okay. S is very good and could grow to be great. CB after Jaire is a black hole.
As for Rodgers, he doesn't want to play in GB. That's him, not me.
I do think he goes to Denver and we get Surtain and a bunch of high picks.
And I think Love is a good fit for what GB does on OFF and I bet AR knows it too, which is why he wants to control his destiny now rather than wait until 2022.
Then why not just pull the trigger yesterday and we draft Surtain?Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 12:25I do think he goes to Denver and we get Surtain and a bunch of high picks.

He addressed this with the June 1st change in dead money to allow the Packers to make the move while remaining fiscally viable to sign their draft class and absorb any returning contracts.NCF wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 12:27Then why not just pull the trigger yesterday and we draft Surtain?Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑30 Apr 2021 12:25I do think he goes to Denver and we get Surtain and a bunch of high picks.
Heh, NFL rumors in the age of QAnon...
Rodgers has already been traded, ya just don't know it yet! Surtain is at OTAs as we speak!
