Who is reporting it?
Rodgers wants out

A link to this news would be much appreciated. There is literally nothing on the internet or Twitter about this new deal offered.
Wasn’t that in schefters original report? that we offered an extension and he rejected it after we were first hesitant to offer one?

I always try to keep my expectations low. So I'm just going to assume that he'll be in a Bears uniform next season and anything other than that will end up being a pleasant surprise.Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑10 May 2021 17:07Demovsky reporting that the Lions, Bears, and Vikings are each offering multiple firsts to any team that trades for Rodgers.
I had thought that as well. First there was just a tweet, then this full clip came out that clarified nothing new will ever come out until Aaron or the team says it themselves.

Tobin Rote and Bart Starr had Topps Packers cards in 1957. Babe Parilli and Bart Starr had Topps Packers cards in 1958 and 1959. John Roach and Bart Starr had 1961 Lake-to-Lake Packers cards. Bart Starr and Edmund Raymond "Zeke" Bratkowski were on the roster in 1971, and both had 1971 Topps Packers cards. Don Horn and Bart Starr had a 1970 Topps Packers card. In 1972, 1973 and 1974 Scott Hunter had a Topps Packers card. Jerry Tagge had a Topps Packers card in 1974 and 1975. The train left the station and seemingly never came back with John Hadl having Topps Packers cards in 1975 and 1976. 1977 was delightful with Carlos Brown having a Topps Packers card. Thankfully Lynn Dickey had a Topps Packers card starting in 1977 as well, and through 1986, except 1980. David Whitehurst had a Topps Packers card in 1979, 1980 and 1981. Then, oh my goodness gracious.... Randy Wright had a Topps Packer card in 1987 and 1988. Majik had a Topps Packers card in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992. Then finally ........... Brett Favre emerged on one of the most sought after trading cards in Packers history --> 1992 Topps Stadium Club card #683. https://www.collectors.com/trading-card ... 9017888331Yoop wrote: ↑07 May 2021 07:44I forgot about McHan, underwhelmed with Starr because Brett was soooo humble and Vince possibly didn't think he had the back bone to stand up to the players and be a great leader, which he did becomeCrazylegs Starks wrote: ↑06 May 2021 19:57Lombardi did not say Starr would be his QB in 1959. Starr was already in his 4th year but Lombardi was so...underwhelmed with Starr that he quickly brought in Lamar McHan to be his guy. Problem was McHan was a bit of a lose cannon, and lucky for Coach, Starr hung around and turned into a good QB by late 1960.Yoop wrote: ↑06 May 2021 15:50
really care to elaborate? Starr is easily a top 5 qb of all time, obviously not with passing stats, short ball era, be he was very accurate, short and long, heck first thing he said is that Starr would be his QB, after we just Took a Heisman winning QB from Notre Damn.
1963 - Lombardi drafted two QBs: Daryle Lamonica (12th rd) and Dennis Claridge (3rd rd). Lamonica went to the AFL, and Claridge stayed in college until 1964.
1967 - Lombardi drafted Don Horn in the 1st. Good thing Twitter and ESPN didn't exist then!
the rest of the picks outside of horn where normal, ya need 3 QB's, ya got a established backup and a groomer, Horn though was drafted to be Starr's replacement, Careers where shorter back then and Bart was in his 11 season.
all I know is I watched a ton of training camp and open practices back then and Starr could thread the needle.
GO PACKERS!!

I want the Lions 1st pick in the worst way. The 2nd best pick in the draft and a major need for the Packers!Ghost_Lombardi wrote: ↑10 May 2021 17:07Demovsky reporting that the Lions, Bears, and Vikings are each offering multiple firsts to any team that trades for Rodgers.

If it's more than one and if it's early first round picks then trade Rodgers asap. This team right now is pretty good, assuming Rodgers playing like last season, but not good enough for a win-now-don't-care-about-tomorrow strategy. We need to think about our baby Packers fans who deserve better than to re-live the 80s.
Except you can't know if it's an early first round pick until after the season is over so.....the asap thing becomes a problem there.German_Panzer wrote: ↑11 May 2021 08:13If it's more than one and if it's early first round picks then trade Rodgers asap. The chance of it being an early first rounder if we trade him before the 2021 season is extremely low. I dont care how bad the roster is...when Rodgers walks through the door the team instantly upgrades its projected win total to at least 8 wins.go pak go wrote: ↑11 May 2021 08:35Except you can't know if it's an early first round pick until after the season is over so.....the asap thing becomes a problem there.German_Panzer wrote: ↑11 May 2021 08:13If it's more than one and if it's early first round picks then trade Rodgers asap. Best thing to do unless we can get real players for him like the Broncos can offer is to make him sit this year, and then trade with somebody that we know what their draft position will be.
However, the longer this goes and the more 12 is silent, I think he is just gonna show up at camp like nothing has been going on. It looks like he may try to play dumb. I am leaning toward him being the 2021 QB in one way or another.

who knows what will happen, I think both sides will keep quiet to the media now until something is settled, nothing good will come from either side trying to win over sports media to gain leverage at this juncture, best to settle this behind closed doors as it should have been settled a year ago.
