From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
I'm sick and tired of these nfl teams treating players like objects and being able to trade them whenever they want.
The Packers gave Patrick a contract. Why give Patrick a contract if they didn't intend on letting Patrick play out at that contract?
good point, but it's not really the same thing
OK then keep Patrick, your right, I'am wrong, we should keep every contracted player no matter if they can't win a starting job with us or not
So is your 6 months worth of union talk all about really just catering to Rodgers then because you have an obsessive emotional attachment to him?
Because it is starting to seem to me you could care less about other players and their contracts.
Literally. If there is anyone who should be protected from this stuff it is players like Lucas Patrick who could use the financial protections of being in a union to get a good deal that secures he can have a living by making it to the top league in professional sports.
Rodgers is my HERO, and you can be sure I care more about him then Patrick, don't you?
I don't want to derail this thread, long story short I believe in seniority, so obviously that means I care about established vets over a 2 year player that really hasn't won a starting spot.
no one protects non vested workers, unless you work and have a in house union that protects all the workers far to much as in a car plant, newbies have to work hard and become a vested employee.
I am baffled by the KaDar Hollman, Stanford Samuels absences
Like it looks like Alexander’s absence might have had some thinking the CBs were joining the WRs in protest. But guys like Josh Jackson and Kabion Ento were like “uh, nah, I gotta try to win a job”
Same with EQ and to an extent Funchess. Like y’all ain’t got that kind of leeway.
I think Stanford Samuels has done enough to earn sitting OTA's out.
I’m about ready to write off Funchess. Dude has no business not attending OTAs regardless of any sort of solidarity he feels with teammates he’s never actually played with. And if it has nothing to do with aligning with Rodgers or Adams and their ongoing organizational tiffs, then why the $%@# are you not there??
Ive been telling yall. This guy doesnt care. He playts football because hes built for it, not because he wants to. Just another Eddie Lacy. Waste of talent.
Or do yall wanna tell me this is family related too?

I mean, I find some of the absences a bit puzzling and frustrating, but you can't cut guys for not showing up to voluntary workouts. Like literally it's not allowed. They'd get in some trouble if they tried.

I would put a sticky note on my desk to remind me to do it after camp
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Y'all still think there is no chance Jenkins is an OT now?
Not really no. Maybe looking at him to be top backup LT possible beginning of the year starter.
Just no reason with Bak and Turner on roster and under contract for 2 more years.
I really don't understand why people think Turner is any good. I understand 1 year of good stats and a career of bad stats. But I see what I see and that a TE or a RB is always helping Turner. Stats look a lot better when you always have a TE to chip your man or the RB is prepared to help and therefore does not see the blitzing LB until it is too late.

We have a million guards now, I don’t see any reason why our best healthy linemen wouldn’t be considered to be moved out to OT if that is the position we are thinnest at on the line.
