Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2020 will be in brackets.
Here's how this works:
Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll.
Simply voting is not enough!
Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 10 guys, a new player is added to the list each day).
Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Future Hall Of Famer Jordan Love. Fitting that his name is Jordan and this is number 23.
I went with Runyan and Martin; I think they are the two most likely starters remaining on the board.

Amari Rodgers and Josiah Deguara for me.
Deguara looked to have a role cut out for him prior to getting hurt. Another year in the system is gonna help him and I think hes going to come out with a significant role again. Hes the starting FB and we often rotate our TEs. Lewis is pretty much useless as a receiver. Jace is suspended. Deguara is TE when we are looking to pass.
Rodgers as I have stated before is the only true slot/jet sweep guy on the roster and he is likely to win the returner position. Thats big production from a rookie.

Rodgers is likely a starting return man, with the potential to have Deebo-like impact on offense.
Newman seems to be the favorite to start at RG.

I also went for 2 likely full time starters. The same as the previous.
Jordan Love and Jon Runyan

Voted Love.
I hope to god he is better than the 23rd best player on our team this year.

&%$@, we should have ranked him 2 then. Our bad for ruining his season.

Hi is a first round talent with a year under his belt.
I think it is fair to think he is atleast the 23rd best player on the team with the hope he will be better.
Do you have him in your top 25? top 30?

That point just keeps sailing on by.

Until Love is getting the nod I think it’s a bad pick here. I guess this is where subjection comes into play with this poll.
Love could potentially play 0 meaningful snaps this season or he could play all of them. As of right now he’s playing 0 barring injury. I’ll take people guaranteed to play meaningful snaps.

Yeah, everyone voting has their own subjective parameters. Everyone has been defending their selections and thought process. I can get an argument for going Love, likely should have been top 5 in one line of thinking. If not in that line of thinking, he probably shouldn't crack top 30. Not a lot of in between and neither side is right or wrong and shouldn't be made to think they are. Likely why Love's support hasn't changed in 10 picks, no reason to start just voting for him between 15-25.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑14 Jun 2021 22:07Until Love is getting the nod I think it’s a bad pick here. Definitely nicer to have two votes now, so some can keep voting Love and still pick someone else.

I guess we're all expecting Chandon Sullivan to lose his role entirely?
Like, isn't his role bigger than Dean Lowry's? I know we're projecting a lot. Maybe Shemar Jean-Charles takes his job. Maybe Stokes pushes onto the field and Jaire plays a lot more in the "star" role. But so far, Sullivan is the only person who has lined up in nickel with the 1s that I have seen reported.
