I also can't understand how Runyan is in the running for the lead while Patrick has 0 votes. To me, they are even. They are each about 60/40 for playing a starting role over the course of the season, and part of that is mutually exclusive. To me, they should be about even on this poll for this year. I get having a preference one way or the other. But with 7 guys catching votes, Runyan being among the leaders and Patrick getting 0 just baffles me.
I am similarly baffled that Newman is also getting 0 votes when he seems to have a (slight) lead at starting the position, going off of OTA reports (not to mention, being picked on the earlier half of a draft class that has been billed as one with immediate contributors). I get that it's early yet, but still...

This would be a lot easier if we’d do this exercise AFTER training camp so we all knew who was starting where...

In all seriousness, the points raised above by YoHoChecko and Labrev are exactly what makes this exercise fun not only now but next spring, too, when we can all look back and ask ourselves why we didn’t see player X coming.
