I expect that Barnes and Campbell will be pretty firmly situated in the "starting" ILB spots, but that Martin and Summers will see a handful of snaps every game, if I had to guess. I also think they play two different roles: Martin more in-the-box, Summers more of a pass-downs role.

McDuffie might not make the team even if he plays well, especially if they keep Burks for STs. A 7th-round flier is a guy who you put on the PS and not worry too much about it. I like him, but let's be real here.

I am a bit skeptical of Jean-Charles making a meaningful impact this year.

Jaire, King, Sully, Stokes ahead. I'm no fan of Redmond, but I get why coaches keep trotting him out. In truth, I think it may be unrealistic to expect SJC to be better than Redmond off the bat, but unless the rookie comes out and establishes himself as head-and-shoulders better than Redmond then I do not see him playing ahead of him. And that Star position may end up going to Amos.

I also wouldn't count out Ento, Samuels, or even a Josh Jackson resurgence (Hollman seems pretty unlikely).

Jaire, King, Sully, Stokes ahead. I'm no fan of Redmond, but I get why coaches keep trotting him out. In truth, I think it may be unrealistic to expect SJC to be better than Redmond off the bat, but unless the rookie comes out and establishes himself as head-and-shoulders better than Redmond then I do not see him playing ahead of him. And that Star position may end up going to Amos.

My SJC support has nothing to do with Redmond, at all. Those snaps will go to Uphoff and Scott if they pass him.

It's that Chandon Sullivan is a replaceable player and SJC has the instincts and study habits to possibly overtake him.

Yeah, I would actually vote for Scott ahead of most of these guys. Not quuiiite yet but real soon; he'd be more of my "guy I believe in and have a role in mind for" than "guy who has shown evidence that he will have a role"
