From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
I figured you'd agree after I showed that only the air game excelled, and the thrower (QB) is the most important aspect of the passing game, so in essense Rodgers carried that team.
It's the double standard and convenience of "Rodgers is to credit when the passing game excels" and "the WR's are to blame when the passing game doesn't excel" that I think is most bothersome.
And it's a narrative that is pushed hard.
OK, but it's mostly true, Rodgers makes these receivers, they don't make him, none of the receivers we've had would be better with any other QB, these are reality's that you don't seem to want to accept.
I can agree with it. I do believe Rodgers raises the level of play of his teammates or at the least he should. That's why we pay him the big bucks. That's why we call him one of the greatest to ever play the game.
That is why I have higher expectations of him and do not find it as necessary to hand out excuses when things don't go well. I instead look at #12 first as he needs to elevate his play to elevate the offense.
And that you don't seem to want to accept. My perception from reading your posts is you have a natural bias to give all credit when things go good and all blame to the perimeter and coaches when things don't go well.

With the breakdown of the Adams contract talks, if both of them end up with different teams, which one will thrive - AR with new receivers or Adams with a new QB. For that matter, if only one leaves, which one will look better - the player staying with the Pack or the one playing elsewhere?
It's like the two are mistakenly going into this season thinking they both won 5 championships together already.
Yeah it's more like one last NFCCG choke.
I'm sure neither meant it in that way. Just possibly that its a last year together. People are taking cryptic messages as 100% literal (whatever their interpretation of them are). This is all so unbelievably tiring. I'd say I'd be happy when its over, but it'll never be over. Whatever happens will linger 1 way or another. Just like the Favre stuff has lingered forever.
Sorry, Paco is not having a good day and is angry at the world. He doesn't need this drama today.
Final thought. Anyone that thinks they'll get answers to stuff at the shareholders meeting is fooling themselves. I'll eat my damn hat if they do.
Packers Super Bowl Odds got better. Glad I put $100 down when they were 18 to 1! Come on $1900!
