So far this is what I am feeling.
1. Funchess and EQSB better watch out for Juwann Winfree. Sounds like this dude has been BALLING in the spring practices and continuing it now.
2. Dexter Williams coming out of nowhere.
3. Amari Rodgers is LEGIT.
4. TJ Slayton - I am like low key suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper pumped about this guy.
I'm excited about Winfree. He was the guy was lighting it up with Love when all the other WR's "held out of OTA's" and is continuing it now in the shorts session in camp. Let's see if he can carry it over when the pads go on.

All this. And also a LOT of positive tweets about Gary. Wouldn't mind a breakout year one bit..go pak go wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021 20:19So far this is what I am feeling.

I think this happened during today’s practice (day 3) but didn’t wanna start a whole new thread for this blurb from Demovsky:
Packers' first-round pick Eric Stokes got his welcome-to-the-NFL moment. During a red zone period on Friday, he stuck with receiver Davante Adams on a fade route, blanketed him in coverage and jumped at just the right instant. Yet Aaron Rodgers still floated the ball right into Adams' outstretched hands for a touchdown. So what did fellow Packers' DB Darnell Savage tell Stokes after that? "There's not many 12s and 17s out there," he said referring to the jersey numbers of Rodgers and Adams. Adams, of course, led the NFL last season with 18 touchdown catches. -- Rob Demovsky
Williams is not truly "out of nowhere" -- he is a high-upside guy we have been developing on our Practice Squad for a couple of seasons now, but needed to get his head on straight and refine his game.
I had a feeling he may put up a real fight for that last RB spot (or push to have us keep 4) -- it's make-or-break for him, he has the talent, and familiarity with the system.

How unusual would keeping 4 backs be?Labrev wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021 00:59Williams is not truly "out of nowhere" -- he is a high-upside guy we have been developing on our Practice Squad for a couple of seasons now, but needed to get his head on straight and refine his game.

At this point I’m pretty much just actively rooting for EQ to get cut, not bc it’s personal and I hate the guy, but I feel like I’ve seen enough and i want that spot to go to someone else who might can prove something to team and help us win. Maybe that guy is Dexter, maybe Winfree.

As someone who made a whole thread about EQ before the draft, has rooted for and predicted breakouts by him in each of the past two seasons, and still doesn't truly understand what's holding him back.....Drj820 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021 08:14At this point I’m pretty much just actively rooting for EQ to get cut, not bc it’s personal and I hate the guy, but I feel like I’ve seen enough and i want that spot to go to someone else who might can prove something to team and help us win. ...yeah, agreed. We can't keep a whole roster full of guys who are free agents who may never amount to anything in place of other possible developmental players.
I think we need to keep Winfree on the roster and Gaither on the PS if we can to develop both to be bottom-of-the-roster ST and developmental guys through 2022. EQ's time is short.

Yeah I was big on ESB as well. I pretty much had him in every mock that year. Hes just a guy who doesnt have it.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021 08:20As someone who made a whole thread about EQ before the draft, has rooted for and predicted breakouts by him in each of the past two seasons, and still doesn't truly understand what's holding him back.....Drj820 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021 08:14At this point I’m pretty much just actively rooting for EQ to get cut, not bc it’s personal and I hate the guy, but I feel like I’ve seen enough and i want that spot to go to someone else who might can prove something to team and help us win. After his rookie year not dropping passes and making some spectacular catches he has really disappointed. I still think it was a great pick for the 6th round. ESB is very toolsy but he has since struggled with drops and he seems to struggle knowing how to get open consistently. Especially with STs never catching on for him I think the probability of his career being over is high. I cant imagine a year 4 receiver with minimal impact is going to get his shot elsewhere.
