everyone seems to have a opinion concerning this, thanks for sharing yours, but I beg to differ, anything left of center is on the blind side of a right hand throwing QB, and left side of center is typically called the weak side because the LT and G go man up minus a TE's help.

I do believe it’s a term made up/coined for this conversation.

Ostensibly, I agree: a QB should be able to see someone coming right for him.

But with the number of roll outs and the amount of play action, I can see a mild case to be made that the non-throwing-hand side guard may more often be protecting a QB from interior rushers the QB doesn’t get a clean look at.

But it was more a shorthand for non-throwing-hand-side for me. So thanks for making me type out non-throwing-hand-side three times for the sake of semantics

But I didn't make this up, the left side of center is the blind side, when a R handed QB takes his drop from center his back is facing the blind side, the left side of center, simple common sense tells us that, and it's actually common knowledge as well that the weak side is the side opposite the TE lines up on.

Because most are right-handed, quarterbacks turn their bodies to the right in order to survey the fields and consequently throw the ball. This means that a blindside tackle will almost certainly come from the left side of the field, as perceived by the offense.

times are changing as this conversation bares out and we have seen with naked eye ( most of us) defenses shift there best pass rushers to the weakest player on the OL, there are graphs that show right side or interior pass rush success has increased dramatically

Apparently, Josh Myers has been talking to Linsley quite a bit:

"...Linsley started at Center as a rookie, and Myers said his predecessor has been vital in getting him acclimated to a similar role.

“He has been great throughout this whole thing,” Myers said. “Anytime I’ve ever had a question for him, he’s answered it and been absolutely awesome throughout the whole thing, so we’ve been in contact for a lot of this — even pre-draft, and especially post-draft.”

I kid because I know their job is actually hard.

I remember going to a TC practice a few years ago and was blown away how hard it is to actually watch practice and provide updates/insights. I am sure [mention]NCF[/mention] and [mention]BF004[/mention] can attest to that.

So I do get their job is tough. They are trying to promote the sport, teams, stories, etc. And it's this fine line of walking of sharing good stories, being analytical, and being a $%@#/honest.

Its highly unusual for a player to leave in FA and then turn around and offer tips/insights to his rookie replacement given they're playing for different teams. Its pretty awesome and since Corey had Rodgers' hands up his ass for 5 years - I'm reasonably certain he has a wealth of insight for the rookie.

Yeah I'm pretty excited it sounds like we hit once again on a center draft pick. By far the highest draft capital we have ever spent on the spot, but well worth it.
