Look at Hill's cutting ability just in a simple drill.
Seriously. This dude looks awesome. I am so excited to watch him this Saturday.
At about the 30 second mark or so.

Did Chandon Sullivan really say he can BLITZ A LITTLE BIT in his presser?
As for the safety battle to unseat Will Redmond, sounds like the guy to keep an eye on this Saturday is #38 Innis Gaines. Andy Herman is saying he has been the best UDFA in camp so far and also is showing the best coverage ability of the safeties behind Amos and Savage.
Sounds like Henry Black has been struggling in coverage but tackles well. Vernon Scott has been somewhat quiet.

Gaines popped when I was there. Watch Special Teams in preseason and it will probably decide the battle.go pak go wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021 07:03As for the safety battle to unseat Will Redmond, sounds like the guy to keep an eye on this Saturday is #38 Innis Gaines. Hill stood out early when I was there too.
Just doing WR routes with Jones and Dillon, he just cuts different.
Think you could earn some snaps splitting out and doing jet sweep stuff this year.
Excited to see him KR this PS.

thanks for the clips, Hill is a keeper, super smooth, amazing he lasted till the 7th round.
same with Amari Rodgers.
excited for Sat night, this team seems really deep with talent, I bet most of our cuts are scarfed up quickly, maybe we can trade a couple for future picks.

I hope we can get most of our cuts back on the PS... at least those that we really want to continue to develop. I don't doubt a few might be claimed, but given limited practice times, now, I think teams prefer to keep their own guys in house and continue developing them.Yoop wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021 08:17thanks for the clips, Hill is a keeper, super smooth, amazing he lasted till the 7th round.

only guy I could really see at this point of trade compensation would be Devin Funchess. Like a 6th or 7th.NCF wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021 08:23I hope we can get most of our cuts back on the PS... at least those that we really want to continue to develop. Funchess is making this team. I was a bit nervous when they traded for Cobb, but looking at the practice reports every day, he might be our second best WR right now, as hard as it is to believe for you Funchess historians. Not only has he been a play maker, but by all accounts he has been very consistent, hasn't struggled, at all, with drops, and seems to have formed a connection with QB1. I very much realize the importance of that latter point as the most important in my stance.

ehhh, Funchess has looked to good, as Herman said, he's a monster in the red zone.go pak go wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021 08:26only guy I could really see at this point of trade compensation would be Devin Funchess. someone mentioned Jackson, and that makes sense, look at all these young high ceiling sorta CB's we have Ento, Charles have looked very good at times.
just guessing though, it's hard to know much till we see these guys in some games.
yep the over the hill Cobb has still got what it takes, we have a bunch of WR's now with the addition of him and Amari, and Funchess, love that competition, finally I don't think we'll have to rely so heavily on Devonte, adding Hill to our RB group with Jones and even Dillon, along with Cobb and Amari means I wont be able to complain we dont have any short ball players now,.NCF wrote: ↑11 Aug 2021 08:32Funchess is making this team. Wait, so this is this morning's post about yesterday's training camp day, right? Also, I thought yesterday's was closed to the press.
EDIT: Oh wait, it's Wednesday. I took Monday off so I thought today was Tuesday.

Legit. Hill is on a spectrum where the low end outcome is Jamaal William's replacement and the high end outcome is Alvin Kamara.
Here's my pre-draft assessment of him from that weird 3-draft mockventure post I made

Barring injury, Hill is the 3rd RB. Patrick Taylor also seems like an NFL RB (plant and burst). This is why I didn't like the pricey contract we gave to our starting RB.
We will get a very extended look at Love this preseason. I doubt Rodgers plays a snap. I want to see more zip on the ball from Love and see him do better on two other things: ball placement on quick throws and mechanics when plays extend and break down.
I think Slaton is going to be one of those guys who plays ten years in the league and just stuffs the run. Very good value for where he was picked.
We need a 4th OLB to really emerge and grab that job.
The OL seems very solid and deep, even with Bak out.
I have no idea how many WRs we keep or who makes the cut. Same with TEs.

Sounds like Garvin and Tipa are getting good reps there competing for that; that's actually a battle I look forward to. Both have a lot of upside in very different packages.
