I started going to JiffyLube years ago because it was cheap and simple. The cost savings of doing it myself, clean-up, and dumping the old oil was worth the $25 or so extra cost to just have them do it.

Today I was quoted $77 for an oil/filter change. Seriously?

These people are lucky I get lazier by the year...

Yep. I remember when you could get a $10 oil change! :favre: Pretty hard to walk out for less than $50 now. I hate going to quick lube places. But I am far from handy with cars so I don't do the stuff myself.

Got one going tonight for the 11-year old. Throwing them in the pool and making burgers and serving ice cream. $25, all in.

I don't like competing for best parties based on cost. That's something adults do to compare bank accounts vs other adults.

This one is for my wife, turning 40. Renting a brewery, food, beverages, decorations, cake, then of course beer. Thing is probably going to cost $1000. And I have to entertain people afterward. Not really my thing. I sit in the corner away from other people at parties.

Spending the next week cleaning the hell out of my house so its acceptable for other people to sit in. Would be nice if both my wife and I weren't lazy slobs.

Last weekend August 7th I got married. COVID delayed our honey moon to Croatia, so we decided to go to Orange Beach Alabama, well the tropical storm has now canceled that. My new wife is not excited about staying in Wisconsin.

Croatia, interesting choice. Tell her to deal with it. Start liking cheese, beer, brats, and the Packers!

Congratulations!

Where are you planning to go in Croatia? I have been to Split and Dubrovnik and both are worth the trip. Beautiful cites and the people are fantastic. Dubrovnik especially. I have no idea what the monetary exchange rate is anymore but when I visited 15 years ago I could spend like a king and still only be out $100 or so.

Thank you everyone! Next stop is going to be buying a house.

ABP Our plan is Split, Dubrovnik, and Zadar. It won't be until next summer at the earliest though. We may also extend it a few days because we could not go this summer and hit up either Greece or Italy.

I might put a $1000 on the Pack winning it all.

Payoff would be nice, and when I lose it won't sting any more than the actual game loss.

Throw it all into some January out of the money AMC calls. ;)

Much better bet to turn 1K into 50K than trusting Kevin King to cover someone.

Encountered a Microsoft IT scammer today. Was more convincing of a scammer than any I've ever encountered. Feel sorry for elderly and/or unsuspecting- anyone ever run into this?
