Dexter Williams has been the most invisible RB draft pick I can remember. Mays and Franklin at least were remarkably bad, Dexter was just nondescript.
Don't be bad mouthing Franklin. I was a fan of his and was really bummed his career ended so early.

Sorry, mob! The injury was super unfortunate, but so were 2 fumbles in 23 touches. :hide:

he didn't though, and what he's remembered most for is those two fumbles, don't remember if he was fast, or just quick, I can't remember anything special about him, course he wasn't really around long enough to make a impression.

Lacy lacked heart and love for the game, but he had a full tool box

He was fast and quick. Also already had a 100 yard game (which we lost on his fumble). But if I recall, he already showed promise in pass protection/blitz pickups. Was also a return option if I recall. I think he would have been a pretty good player. Just never had enough time to develop before the injury.

But sounds like he's making a good name for himself in the NFL anyway.

I remember the one in Cincinnati. It wasn't even really his fault, but regardless, I knew that one. The other one I had to look up to see if it was even real.

So, no, that is not what he's most remembered for. A second quarter fumble, that we recovered, in a 22-9 victory is not something that is going to stick out in most peoples' memories.

was that a PS game? I remember a nice pass he caught for about 20 yrds, would have been a nice change of pace RB with Lacy.

I'll have to look him up, is he coaching? if so, good for him, so many careers are cut short with injury's.

Dang haven't heard that name in a while. Forgot how good the Bengals game was and how much promise he showed. A name in a long list of Packers who had promising careers cut short by head/spinal injuries.

Yeah. 2011 - 2013 was a brutal stretch to be a Packers fan.

Week 3 when Lacy was sidelined. Here's a write-up.

I have no idea why Franklin is remembered for his fumbles. All I remember him for was the Bengals game. Shame he got hurt so soon.

everyone remembers Eddie Lacy cause he had a bunch of 100 plus yard games, he was so good McCarthy put him on a touch count, took away his desire to turn down his mama's home cooking, best RB we had had since Ahman Green, just because it was short lived can't erase his ability in that time frame.

lis, I hardly remember him, and I bet most fans don't remember him either, he sure as hell wasn't better then Lacy, we've had plenty of RB's just like Franklin, who had a couple of very good games the only difference is they didn't get hurt, but they didn't last either.

people act as though Franklin was bound for the HOF :rotf:
