all fans over value some players including you and everyone else here, and we do lose players from our PS almost every year, and this year has just begun, I'am thinking we'll lose several from this group.
Practice Squad signings

Sending our guys out against starters and having their heads handed to them doesn't give other teams too much to evaluate.
your comment led me to believe that you excluded yourself when saying fans over value, specially when you follow it up with " YOU never get worried about losing PS players"
you just over valued Beagleton, and yes we do lose PS players, so no you didn't say the same thing.
you talk in riddles, it's near impossible to understand some of your comments
heres another example of that, what is it that you are trying to get across to me, please excuse me for not being a 30 yr old top of his class college grad soon to be a CVA, CVO, or some other triple letter rich kid, just maybe if you would talk like a normal human being we could see eye to eye versus you constantly insulting me or remarking about my diminishing memory as though I've lost it all.go pak go wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 07:15Yoop wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021 21:13lis, I hardly remember him, and I bet most fans don't remember him either, he sure as hell wasn't better then Lacy, we've had plenty of RB's just like Franklin, who had a couple of very good games the only difference is they didn't get hurt, but they didn't last either.
people act as though Franklin was bound for the HOF
A wise man quoted this. I think he was asking himself this question but never answered it.

There is not a single riddle in that post.Yoop wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 10:39your comment led me to believe that you excluded yourself when saying fans over value, specially when you follow it up with " YOU never get worried about losing PS players"

Cancelled by the forum elites.
I didn't over value Beggelton. I said I feel bad for Beggelton because he doesn't have a job.Yoop wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 10:39your comment led me to believe that you excluded yourself when saying fans over value, specially when you follow it up with " YOU never get worried about losing PS players"

This is my literal quote. It's not a riddle.
Behind Taylor, he was our 2nd most prodictive WR in the preseason. I feel bad for him. He gave it is his best and couldn't stick in the NFL for a 2nd year.Feel bad for Beggelton honestly. He has done what he has needed to do to at least be on an expanded NFL Practice Squad.
Andy Herman analyzed Kamal when he got released, and to summarize, Kamal had zero awareness, and hadn't gained any in a year. Essentially he usually went fast....but usually to wrong direction.Yoop wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 09:18I think so to, I went looking for some dirt on him only to be interupted by telemarketers my phone is ringing off the hook but it has to be something besides lack of physical ability, ( dim light bulb)Drj820 wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 09:12I think there is something more to the Kamal story. Bad Behavior? Not Vaxxed? Bad attitude? No clue, but something seems up. He flashed way too much potential to be in street clothes at this point. Packers usually take waaay longer to give up on draft picks that actually find the field their rookie season.
Thanks Sal. Herman makes a good point, I'd comment further but I'am tired of defending every comment I make.
Add to that Joe Barry's quote that he values instincts very highly at ILB and said its not something you can really teach.
IT. IS. TIME
We all like Kamal because he played fast and was a thumper.
The problem is his fast play was wrong play and his thumping led to not actually making the tackle.
Martin was terrible last year. He continued to show he was terrible this year. It's too bad because he has the talent. But it's a results league. He was a major liability on defense, we just didn't want to see it because we wanted him to succeed so bad based on the tweets we saw last August.

Wait so I’m confused. Is Begelton on the PS or not?

Ok he’s not listed on the team website but he is on the list added to the original post.
Weird that Blair is here but not Begelton.
He is not on the Practice Squad.
EQSB is on the Practice Squad.
Reggie Beggelton is not on the Practice Squad.

I very much never understood the amount of hype Martin got around here. He was a fifth rounder who made a few splash plays in camp and somehow got penciled in as a future starter by everyone on the board.
Even playing poorly last year and being third string in camp could barely shake the confidence of his defenders in the rank the roster exercise, where my attempts to push Ty Summers ahead of him (which was patently obviously true) failed resoundingly.

thing is this can be said for a lot of interior rookie players, where reading the offense right determines your responsibility's and which gap assignment is yours and not your position partners, Burks was also fast but chose wrong to often, however Burks was a very good ST's player, I thought Martin was to, guess I was wrong about that.
my original point was, our ILB situation was in such poor shape a year ago that Martin started, now no one even wants him on there PS, soooo I'd consider him a draft bust right now.
Yeah I just think that players that are 1) drafted 2) play fast and 3) thump usually get to at least finish training camp in their second year if nothing off the field is going on.go pak go wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 12:30We all like Kamal because he played fast and was a thumper.

Playing fast, thumping, young, and cheap are all qualities most DCs would want to work with for at least a couple of seasons. Not like the rest of the ILB room is stellar and deep.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
I was never that impressed with Summers either, I doubt anyone was, I think thats what swayed people to pick Martin, simply wanted a fresh body, I think the coaches did to or Summers would have played, obviously Guty and the coaches thought enough about him to take him in round 5, imo he's more athletically gifted then Summers as well, why wouldn't fans be impressed?YoHoChecko wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021 12:48I very much never understood the amount of hype Martin got around here. I don’t particularly care who was impressed with whom. Summers was playing with the 1s routinely this off-season and Martin was playing routinely with the 2s and 3s. People made dumb excuses like “Summers is wearing the green dot and calling plays because he’s more experienced” even though less experienced undrafted Barnes was the other guy with green dot duty.
And if you aren’t impressed with Summers and Martin is hopelessly behind him in the rotations, that should convey information about Martin that many simply ignored
