He held up better in the slot that I thought he would. Will be interestin to see if teams try and attack him there and have more success than Sullivan.

If we are gonna play soft zones I don’t have a problem with him inside in nickel. He’s still a &%$@ player but most schemes don’t have the interior player with deep responsibilities. If he doesn’t have to cover deep he’s a below average player. If he has to cover deep he’s the worst boundary CB in the league. I’ll get no credit for it but I’ve been saying it for years.

Preston Smith being hugged around the neck on that 3rd down!

Stokes has been great. I thought he would struggle with double moves because when I watched in college his feet were all over the place. He’s been good.

SSSSSTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stokes with 3 pure 1-1 wins.
On that play, not many DBs catch up and have time to turn around to make the play. Gazelle feet.

And he allows himself more room for error because he has recovery speed.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑20 Sep 2021 22:09Stokes has been great. I thought he would struggle with double moves because when I watched in college his feet were all over the place. He’s been good.
King supposedly ran fast at the combine but the guy plays like he ran in the 4.6's now.
Disappointed in Gary tonight. He impacted the play a few times which is good but the dude needs to finish.
21-0 in the 2nd half! Bring that momentum to SF!

Shut the team out in the 2nd half. D'Vondre Campbell and Eric Stokes were insane on defense tonight. Lot of things to get excited about.
True test next week in Santa Clara.

Comfortable enough win that my heartrate is low enough to take a nap before going to work
Thanks for the company, y'all!
Yeah, beautiful PBU by the rookie.

We really find out a lot the next two weeks, but that second half was good plain fun
