You said it! I was sure we were gonna get burned in the end because MLF got either greedy or stupid by not taking those 3 points in the first half. smhlupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 22:26This is why you take your $%@# points on the road against a good team. Had the chance to make up for it but I said it then. That was a $%@# stupid call.

What were the reasons Tauscher gave for thinking they have bad blood?lupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:16Absolutely. That play to Adams for the first TD was terrifically schemed. That’s a playoff play. LaFleur wanted this one.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:09I'm frustrated with some of the end-game decisions between Rodgers and MLF, so this drifted from my mind, but helluva game plan by MLF tonight. I mean he really mixed it up with the play calling and all. I know Shanahan is a little more creative, but I don't think there's much reason to think MLF is not due the exact same credit Shanahan gets leaguewide as a play-caller. MLF was the better coach tonight.
I’m listening to Tauscher and Homer and Tauscher is convincing me that LaFleur and Shannahan really have some bad blood now. They were both making some incredible calls that had so much deception and misdirection. I think both really wanted this one.
And then the handshake at the end…

Now I have been knocking down SF all week, because frankly they aren’t that good, above average team, but $%@# that’s a good win.salmar80 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:30I love the absurdity of:go pak go wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:19Still have Jones. Their D Line is way worse now. That was really the main change I had in mind. Entirely different ballgame when Rodgers can actually throw. Their 2019 D Line was like best in the league, and didn't they have like 5 1st-round picks? They might still be good, but they're not what they were.
Still pretty damned good
Before game: "We're playing a REAL contender. We gonna lose"
Packers win.
After game: "They weren't that good, used to be better. We'll lose when we play a REAL contender."
Thus the Packers can't even theoretically ever beat a REAL contender.
But I think this is a better response.
That would have been a travesty of justice had we not gotten the W. Refs screwed us a ton, plus the 49ers got a ton of BS breaks. We were way better than them and deserved to win. I almost called Roger Goodell to complain (212-450-2027).

Them trying to take Rodgers basically. It was Shanahan who called Lafleur trying to get Rodgers and then that got out to the media. It wasnt Lafluer telling Schefter someone was calling about Rodgers.texas wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:37What were the reasons Tauscher gave for thinking they have bad blood?lupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:16Absolutely. Wilde saying on radio now he believes the 49ers tampered with Rodgers but probably cant prove it similar to the Favre situation.

Yeah but those are 2 different groups of people making those 2 arguments. Part of my whole argument was that we weren't necessarily going to lose because they were not as dominant as they used to be.salmar80 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:30I love the absurdity of:go pak go wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:19Still have Jones. I don't know how good we are this year yet but what we do know is that we are probably still a contender.
I changed my pick and thought it would be close with 49ers taking it. I thought we had too much to overcome. Glad I was wrong. This win feels really good.

Rewatched the last SF score and then our game winning drive. They were fawning all over the 49ers TD and it was so &%$@ anticlimactic when we won. Collinsworth didn't even say anything. $%@# them and their narrative. Love spoiling it.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Huh, that's interesting. I figured the rumblings this week were totally just the media making a story out of nothing. And maybe they were. I'm just trying to think when I've disagreements of a similar level with my friends, and nothing like that ever made me actually not be their friend anymore. So I guess I still doubt there's any bad blood. The one thing I would have thought was a little gay was when Shanahan refused to let Mike LaFleur go to Green Bay when MLF was hired.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑26 Sep 2021 23:41Them trying to take Rodgers basically.
