Rodgers has TDs to the following players:
Jordy Nelson - 65 - Pick 36
Greg Jennings - 38 - Pick 52
Randall Cobb - 39 - Pick 64
Davante Adams - 39 - Pick 53
Eddie Lacy - 6 - Pick 61

So that is 187 TDs to 2nd round picks.
SOOOO, the graphic included playoffs, which means we need to add 20 more on there! 6 for Adams, 5 for Nelson, 5 for Cobb, and 4 for Jennings.

Including the 1 TD to Lewis Rodgers has a grand total of 208 total TD Passes to players drafted in rounds 1 and 2.

Only the Manning brothers have more TDs to 1st and 2nd round players than Aaron Rodgers does.

This feels good in two ways:

that 1st round WRs don't matter...

...and that who cares if you spend a 1st on Love if Mario Manningham was a 1st

Why are you combining 1st and 2nd round? Just give numbers for both separately.

This argument about Rodgers having receivers previously - umm yeah he did and he won* a superbowl and had the highest qb rating of all time.

What does that say - go get him some decent receivers.

I thought the same thing and had to look it up. Mario Manningham was a 3rd-round pick. Hakeem Nicks is the receiver who should have been counted.

I don't think anyone would care if we got quality wr free agents or had quality wrs already on the roster. We don't.

How many TD's on average per player has 1st round wrs scored compared to 5th round wrs?

this has to be one of the lamest excuses for not getting better receivers, obviously these GM's are idiots for taking the receiver that where picked in the first round last thursday, and just waited to get guys in the 2nd, course our GM did neither, in fact our Gms not only havn't used a 1st on one they havn't used a 2nd on one either in over 6 years, we are the laughing stock of anyone that knows this sport, you gotta be a real homer to support the BS this FO has pulled concerning that position, I'am sure Mike McCarthy agree's with me.

Exactly. This is only being brought up because outside of Adams, his receivers suck. I mean 52% of snaps from WRs last year were from UDFAs. Lets just be honest and admit that sucks.

But for most of Rodgers career he had great talent at WR. An Adams, Cobb, Jennings, Driver, and a Jordy is awesome. What that tweet is trying to say is that he has never had talent at WR, thats bogus..the truth is he just doesnt right now outside of one guy.

They are individual rounds

They have different contracts, different values etc

Why not just combined rounds 1-4?

Change of direction here a little bit..

Dillon seems to me like a work horse back. Aaron Jones seems to me to not be someone thrilled with sharing the rock with a work horse back. Do you think the move signals Jones is not getting resigned? and if he is not...what are your thoughts on going ahead and moving him before week 8 to get some serious loot for him. I would imagine he would be worth at least a 2nd rounder in a trade, maybe more.

Thoughts?

I hope we can sign them both, but that doesnt look possible to me. One reason i hate the Dillon pick has nothing to do with Dillon, Aaron Jones is just one of my favorite Packers. I think this move signals his end in GB.

New Orleans is actually receiving some blow back for not replacing Mark Ingram effectively as the cause of Alvin Kamara being knicked up and largely ineffective last year. I think there is some truth to that and I do think Jones can be more effective with less workload if everything is deployed properly.

i def think it will be good for the offense this year. Im just not sure that beyond this year Jones will be down to be a rotation back. he seems to have been handcuffed his entire career almost. he may be ready to take big money and go be a lead dog...sort of like ingram. Remember Saints offered Ingram more money than the ravens did and he chose to go to baltimore to become the lead dog.

So i just wonder if you think he may be gone anyway, do you go ahead and move him to collect loot? Im not sure what his comp pick would be.

Exactly why not? The whole purpose of the previous posts were about 1st round talent if goal posts are being changed then its a completely different argument.

That was impressive you did that so quickly. Good to see that a 1st rounder is likely to give you more than double the career tds.
