It looks like the ball skimmed Savage's palm, even. Gosh that was close.

Savage was in perfect position for that, real good closing speed, but somehow he just whiffed entirely. :idn: :dunno: :thwap:

No way am I blaming Savage when Burrow ran around for about 7 seconds and he was alone with Chase and was RIGHT there. That was on the play call and the pass rush. You can't let someone run around that long

God forbid we get a kick return to the 40.

I would fire every ST coach every year until something changes.

The defense did everything it needed to do there. Everyone was covered. Savage was in position and missed the swat and left himself out of the play to not even make a tackle.

100% in Savage.

We held the Bengals to 0 passing yards in the 2nd quarter until that play.

Frustrating, about limiting mistakes, making them work.

One bad lapse on a drive, one crap play, D otherwise playing amazing. But at this pace, would basically be worst team in the league for points allowed.

Disagree that the defense did everything it needed to. It did not get the ball out of Burrow's hands within a reasonable amount of time. Staying in coverage that long is ridiculous. You don't ask for that. You especially don't ask a safety to do that on a WR. You especially don't ask a safety to do that against the opposing team's speed/big play WR.

Had Savage made the play, it would have been a GREAT play. The fact that he was needed to is on the play call and the (lack of) pass rush.

Yeah. Dunno how I'd grade him on that play, since he did everything right to be in position for play, but that total whiff on the ball was worth points. Looked more like a bodyguard dive than a DB going to defend the pass.

I mean it was a freak play, wasn‘t it? Our defense dude saw the ball and its curve all along and still missed. :idn:
Still we are plain better than this clowns. We‘ll win. But looking forward to intense playoff games we have to grow A LOT.

That completion to Marcedes brought back fond memories of Ed "Toolbox" West.

Also frustrating to let them back in there.

For some reason Cincy only ran the ball 5 times.

Keep it a two score game. That likely wouldn’t increase much.

Allowing them to go full playbook again here out of halftime.

Honestly I thought before that play this was some of the better Packers football I have seen in a while. That defense today was amazing.

I don’t know what you want. Everything was covered underneath. Burrow threw up a &%$@ pass that was under thrown. Savage is position to make the play and blows it.

The player didn’t make a play. I don’t know how you put that on anyone else.
