They were blitzing and stacking the box. We have to game plan around it, not smash right into it.

For me that looked like awful play calling. Too much mano a mano. Plus we had chances, but did not connect (Rodgers to Adams @ 2:20).

Yeah. I don't know about run blocking. I ain't an expert. But every time we got in the redzone, we kept running the ball. Literally all game. And we get -2 to 2 yards on every run.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021 15:57For me that looked like awful play calling. Too much mano a mano. Our Oline just got owned inside the redzone.
Giving my vote to Adams. Dude was great. Only player I think can say was "great" in this game.
But the D as a whole gets a lot of credit for what they did. Bad moments, but solid performance overall.
And still props to Mason on the game winner. Tough to come back and do that. But he did.

Going with AJ Dillon. Not a hugely productive rushing day, but some nice runs and I really liked what he did in the passing game all day.

Career day for Davantae. Have to give him props for that.
We had a patchwork OL today so the guys out there had issues but held it together fairly well considering.go pak go wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021 16:38Yeah. I don't know about run blocking. I ain't an expert. I am going with Campbell. He had a very good game and even got banged up and came back strong from it. A gimme interception was just icing on the cake.
As an aside, I have a tough time voting for guys like Rodgers, Adams, or Jones. Those players are just too easy to pick and, for me, go against the spirit of this contest. Adams had a great game, yes, but he was by no means an underdog pick.

Adams was just straight up dominant today so he gets my vote. They crowded the line often and made it tough to run. Jones got some great yards out of it but only halted the production Adams did.
I will say. I think Campbell would get more love if Crosby hit his FG after the pick in OT. That play will be forgotten because Missing Crosby played this game.

Sure he can. All a D has to do is to double cover him and rush 5 and depend on a patchwork Oline not to be able to protect. Well almost. It seems that the Oline with a career backup at center (his secondary position) a 2nd year man(late round draft pick) at LG, a guy that spent a couple of years including last year on the PS at LT, a rookie 4th round pick at RG and a FA that got cut by 2 previous teams at RT somehow managed to protect Rodgers. Protect him long enough for Adams to defeat a double team or to find a secondary receiver. And also to provide enough in run blocking to keep the D reasonably honest. I'd say this Oline has done what is flat out impossible, and not only this game but the last 3 games, since Jenkins got hurt. Adams would have to catch 19 of 20 targets for 300 yards and 4 TD's to match what we have seen our Oline do. Rodgers would have to have a perfect passer rating for 3 games in a row to match what his Oline has achieved.
even great double coverage can't stop him, Adams makes it look so easy, acrobatic catches week in week out, he gets my vote.
Had somebody picked Mean Dean I probably would have gone that way. To win with the big guns you need something extraordinary. I think Adams got the enough yards but not enough points to put him over the top. He needed those final yards for the score to put it out of reach. So I'll give it to Campbell.
I'm switching from Campbell to Adams, with honorable mentions to the Oline, Campbell, Dillon and Kevin King (for keeping plays in front of him and solid tackling). Also Marcedes Lewis who made an LB miss
Didn't realize Adams cracked 200 yards. We needed a game like this from him as the rest of the WRs and Tonyan were underwhelming. It was like Adams feasted on the double coverage, finding ways to make it not matter.

I mean if you don't vote for Adams after today....you may as well never vote for anyone who has "star" status.
What he did today was absolutely ridiculous.

People didn't vote for Aaron Jones after he scored 4 TDs...

They did. And I was the benefactor in that. I voted for Jones. Thought he deserved it. But I can also see a difference between getting 4 TDs where some of them were scheme "gimme's" and what Adams did yesterday.
He was just a monster. You can't fake your way to 200+ yards. Especially when only one of them is a deep bomb. And even that deep bomb still essentially beat double coverage. He was insane.
