Packers Sign DT Treyvon Hester
He was a Raider drafted in the 7th round in 2017 from Toledo.
I don't know anything about him.

Journeyman, but 704 snaps in 3 years is nothing to sneeze at.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
He is the man credited for the blocked FG on the double-doink.

I put him in my 2017.3 mock. I didn't say anything about him, but he's there.

I just feel this signing means a no to my hope of having some Snacks.

At last a veteran dt! Hopefully can provide some quality snaps nexr to Kenny..or even give him rest once in a while. Guy must be pretty young only 3 yrs in league. However, he has played on 3 different teams.
I was happy with getting in Snacks but that's because he was the last DL I knew the name of. Read that he really was past it last year in Detroit.
This guy seems a much better signing. Younger, cheaper and with some upside at a position it can take a few years to really click.

Good to have more competition in training camp. I hope he can help cuz the D-Line still needs help.
Detroit completely mis-used Snacks. He was really a nose his whole time in NYG and was successful. Then he gets traded to Detroit and they play him as a 3 Tech and he never succeeded.British wrote: ↑01 May 2020 17:28I was happy with getting in Snacks but that's because he was the last DL I knew the name of. Word is Snacks really hated he was in Detroit, but it's also strange because he then voluntarily signed an extension to play there another year.

I’m happy they made a move to get a veteran at the position. I expect Adams to not make the roster. Purge another one off the team.

At least Adams can stay on a team unlike this guy.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑01 May 2020 21:01I’m happy they made a move to get a veteran at the position. I expect Adams to not make the roster. Purge another one off the team.

I have always been a Montravious Adams supporter...........but he certainly has not done much to maintain a roster position. Maybe he can make a breakthrough I hope? Odds of him doing that seem slim though.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑02 May 2020 01:47Adams stayed on the Tramon draft status alone so far.go pak go wrote: ↑02 May 2020 00:27At least Adams can stay on a team unlike this guy.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑01 May 2020 21:01I’m happy they made a move to get a veteran at the position. So then they are the same.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑02 May 2020 01:47Adams stayed on the team on draft status alone so far.go pak go wrote: ↑02 May 2020 00:27At least Adams can stay on a team unlike this guy.lupedafiasco wrote: ↑01 May 2020 21:01I’m happy they made a move to get a veteran at the position. On equal footing, they both can't make a team.

Yeah, this only disappoints me because he's not Harrison or Dareus.
The Harrison thing was literally that he hated being in Detroit and thought the organization was crap. They wanted him gone, he wanted to be gone. He was knicked up and he didn't think they handled that. He probably doesn't have a contract yet because he's in the situation that merits a 1-year deal but he's made clear that he wants to find the right spot to finish his career for 3-4 years. I bet no one will give him a longer-term deal and I bet he wants more of that sort of thing. Yes, that is a very "his point of view" take and it raises some red flags. But that is what I've found.
Anyway, as long as this new guy isn't guaranteed much of anything at all, I suppose there's still room and time. At least we have some new competition to push the bottom of the roster here.

I'm guessing Lancaster, Adams and Hester are all fighting for the same spot or same 2 spots. Do they have different roles/specialties? My impression is Lancaster is more of a pure run stuffer?
