Brady had Evans on the crosser. Then he threw into double coverage late.

Wait, do we need to worry about the Saints?
Great win for us with the Saints beating the Bucs.
Conference loss for Tampa and now if we beat the Rams, we will have common opponent advantage over the Bucs.

well they whipped us and the D is legit, but they just lost their starter today and they have a history of the whipping the bucs at home. Could just be one of those division game type things.

Sort of my hope. Kind of wanted the Saints to split the Bucs. I am happy the Saints won, but they are a team to watch out for. Their defense is a playmaking defense.

Now I want the Queens to lose to the Cowboys.
Dak Prescott is OUT tonight.
Rooting for MN to take out the Cowboys because of it.

I still feel awkward about the Cowboys: a part in me hates them and want them to lose, but another part wishes the best to our MM.

I know people don't like to hear it, but Kirk Cousins has actually been a really, really good QB this year.
I have no understanding of rooting for a division rival that is within two games of us, that we still have to play twice, while we still have half the season to play to let the overall conference standings shakeout.

I feel this and tend to agree, but I'm split. Playing MN twice has big downside, but it also makes them significantly "within our control." I think people big on controlling your own destiny will root for the Vikings tonight; and those who are more generally risk averse will root for the Cowboys.
I will root for an earthquake.
Jameis Winston sounds to have a significant knee injury and is at a local hospital.
Yup. Go MN.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑31 Oct 2021 19:02I feel this and tend to agree, but I'm split. Playing MN twice has big downside, but it also makes them significantly "within our control." At the least, you gotta have faith we split MN which should give us a great chance at winning the division. If we can't split MN, we don't deserve the division anyways.
I don't live there no more. So sure.
Why not.
The cowboys are already without their starting QB tonight. He will get dinged again sometime in the season. We have seen MM coached teams, and we have seen the history of the cowboys. I just dont buy that if we "control our own destiny" and do "what is within our control" that we will have any problems finishing the standings ahead of the Cowboys.YoHoChecko wrote: ↑31 Oct 2021 19:02I feel this and tend to agree, but I'm split. Thus, while i hear your theory about why one would pull for a division rival at the midpoint of the season, I still lack understanding.

In my opinion, (could be wrong, not making a declarative statement), you just like pulling for MN when it doesnt seem like it will hurt the Packers. You grew up in Vikings country according to the other thread, admire their fan base and home field dome crowd, and consider them a top 10 franchise. You might just enjoy pulling for them when you dont think it will hurt the Packers. Which is coolgo pak go wrote: ↑31 Oct 2021 19:04Yup. But in terms of what is best for the Packers, I just think when one has no affinity for the Vikings they would say "if we cant split with the Vikings, we dont deserve to win the conference anyways, and then they would just pull for the Cowboys tonight because F the Vikings.
I see it this way..if we were to lose to the vikings twice, we absolutely would not deserve to win the conference, but why not still go try to get in the playoffs by winning the division with the Vikings 3 games behind, and a big cushion that allows for mistakes down the road. We have no idea whats ahead in terms of injuries, this early..I will take all the cushion I can get, and still try to win a mediocre division even if we lose to the Vikings down the line.
